Went to the gig on Friday in Cardiff with about 15 mates, whole day was like a big historic event/football cup final for atmosphere...arrived on the train shortly after midday and most pubs were already busy!

The mass hysteria when they came on stage will live with me for a long time.

Great gig, whole production was on point, however NG and LG didn't speak to each other on stage, and as others have said its clearly a money grab due to NG divorce and LG starting to run out of money!

It looks like they have put the effort in, even if it’s a cash grab at least they are trying to earn it.

Yeah Liam made it very clear they would be coming out doing their thing and off they go. Cash grab is fine as long as they perform well in the gig. They will probably still want these to be remembered as some of the best gigs people have ever attended.

After failing to get tickets when they first went live, last night i secured a ticket for Heaton park this Friday. I am over the moon. I'm going solo but i couldn't careless.

I hope your bank account doesn't scream too much lol

Where is the TM resale? Is it part of the normal sales page? As i havent seen anything pop up. Twickets are becoming rarer - especially after the weekend

On the event page on Ticketmaster, only appear when available and go instantly. Almost always the in demand tickets aswell!

Thanks - im still holding out some hope of a some more randomly being released as the TM event still gives the option to "find tickets" before verifed resales

Think it’s more of a case of them preparing for the production hold tickets which I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) has already been sent out to apply for. So potentially on Wednesday onwards those without access to that won’t even see resale tickets!

How did it work for those production tickets - ballot to apply again?

Paid £50 over what was my previous maximum of £200. My Mrs persuaded me in the end to take the leap.

I ended up paying over £300 for Cardiff night 1 on resale. They were lower tier seats, in front of the overhang from the upper tier and about 15 rows from the front, plus it was the "merchandise package" meaning we got a bucket hat each (which we nearly bought at the merch stand!), pins and a tote bag which they were also charging for so it was good stuff.

Cost was worth it as it was genuinely my favourite gig ever. Obviously nice to say I was at the last one in 09 and first one in 25 too!!

You won't regret paying that amount. Did you get front standing or GA?

I'm interested to see how big the 'pit' is at Heaton Park.

Doesn't look massive on the map but it's 80k cap so I suspect it won't be less than 10k on the pit.

I cannot wait for Saturday now, this week is gonna drag

Got general standing. With me not drinking and being on my own i'm considering attempting to get to the front of the barrier. See how it goes when i get there.

loads of people came in after Cast on Friday in time for Ashcroft so if you get in before Cast (or even earlier, there's an extra hour and a half after doors open in Manchester vs Cardiff), I think getting near the barrier is realistic. If you want to be ON the barrier, you're looking at queueing in the morning I imagine.

I think you’re trying too hard to be contrary. Lots of people are happy going to see a band for the music, the songs. I’ve seen Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Dua Lipa etc live recently and they were all great but not everybody needs flashing wristbands, lasers and loads of dancers. I know that seems to be the expectation of the modern pop fan but sometimes it is just about the music and the collective experience.

I'm not trying to be anything. I just find their staging really boring - for £300+ I'd expect more than a glorified singalong which is what it looked like from the stream I watched.

I've got Bloc Party on Thurs at Castlefield Bowl before Oasis on Sat and Bloc Party simply will not have my full attention.

As I say, some acts have more staging and it works. Others don’t, and a lot of concert goers are simply there for the music.

Yeah

Can’t see elaborate staging working for that lot

For £300+ I’d expect a share of their stash at the very least

Would you be expecting Liam to fly into the stadium on a zip wire like P!nk or something?
I don’t think a single person in the audience expected, or even wanted any more than they delivered in terms of staging.

There's level to this in between standing around looking all miserable and flying in on  zip wire. Some choreography wouldn't have gone a miss though.

Oasis doing choreography. You’re either 12 or on a massive wum.

You really think a bit of dancing, some light shows, visuals other than a live stream of the band would have been too much to ask for at a ludicrously expensive comeback gig? Their presentation and staging just came across lazy like most things surrounding this cash grab tour.
