I had Arsenal fans repeatedly ask that this time last year. And indeed again given they still don't have a striker.

 

Some people have been spamming "Isak to Liverpool" stories for weeks but latest is that he's looking to talk to us about a new contract. So if that happens, Liverpool might have to look elsewhere.

It's a good job there's a bit of excitement for the top 4/5. Titles over and the bottom 3 will all be gone with 4 or 5 games to go. Southampton going today and Leicester could be down by next Sunday.

Titles over? Really? Getting absolutely battered by Fulham, shite against Newcastle, scraped over the line against Everton. Heads have gone.

I thought the top 5 was 2 from 7 just a week or so ago. Now I'd say it's probably 3 from 5 with Brighton and Bournemouth out of it, but Forest a little more at risk of dropping out. I'd fancied Palace more than Fulham to have an annoying run and threaten but maybe that was wrong.

 

Our next 2 games really should be a comfortable 6 points. We've got Villa, Brighton, and Arsenal away though, so while it's in our hands I'm still not feeling confident.

Villa have got into form at the right time for me, last 4 fixtures are teams with nothing to play for. They got Southampton next weekend, then games against Newcastle and City. I fancy them to nick 4th or 5th. 

 

At the minute for me, although will probably change in 2 weeks.

5 Villa

The question about Villa for me is how they handle playing CL and the FA Cup semi alongside this home stretch in the Prem. Will they exert themselves too much against PSG, or rotate too much because of it and drop points from that? Would disappointment off getting knocked out there hit the confidence? There's just so many factors there.

 

We've got the 2 games in hand and tomorrow's is against Leicester which should be an easy 3 points. It's conceivable we go into the game at Villa Park 5 points ahead of them. Better GD as well.

 

I can't really see City or Forest dropping out even though it's plausible. To me it's which of us or Villa can pip Chelsea. And it's close.

Aldershot are going to play at Wembley Stadium for the first time. Exciting and tense 2-1 win in the local derby semi final yesterday and the town is so excited!

Well it would make the final weeks of the season exciting if they did. But as I've said before, you might be giving Arsenal too much credit given the sheer amount of injuries they have.

Says a lot about Newcastle's history that I can see a truly abysmal Leicester side who've lost 7 games in a row without scoring a goal under a manager that looks out of his depth in the Premier League and wonder if we're going to be fulfilling a Dr Tottenham-like role that lets them have a brief moment of joy.

 

Or maybe it's just my attitude of not thinking a game is over until its over.

When typing it I did feel the twinge of "don't take a game for granted", but while there's surprises in football, this Leicester side just look miserable and useless.

 

I genuinely don't think Leicester will get another win this season.

I think it'll be more taxing than Leicester but that's also true of my groceries.

Hopefully utd do the right thing, rest all the players for Newcastle. Utd need to put all there eggs in the Europa basket.

Jokes aside, I think we're going to be very much floating between European competitions for a while at least. The 5th spot going to CL isn't something we can rely on but also, I don't think City can continue being this bad and Chelsea will either stabilise eventually or properly crash. And other teams like Brighton/Bournemouth/Fulham look like they could maybe contend for European spots effectively going forward even if this season the gap is starting to form now.
