Never used it myself as we always drive there, but indeed your RW ticket includes a free train ticket to and from the festival that you will be able to download somewhere in early/mid June. Your ticket will include a code for the download and a piece of text like this (copy-paste from one of my past tickets):

In that case he should be playing above or in front of more people than Green Day as well (6,1 mill followers)... Even though one can question if it's already happening, I really hope we're not coming to a place where followers or plays should define who's playing and in what order. In that case one is not considering the preferences of at least half of the potential audience (read 35yo and above), which don't have the same relation to this type of interaction compared to the younger generation.

 

I must admit that I actually think DD's music (the little he has) is quite ok compared to the many other pop acts this year, and might be checking him out. However on a festival like RW, he shouldn't be playing main stage (at least not any thing else than an opener), having only released 4-5 songs. 

 

As a side note Bruce Springsteen (1,8), Radiohead (3,4), Foo Fighters (5,5) and many other of the biggest bands have less followers than him, but I don't think the question would have been asked there. It's about that type of artist/band's target audience.

I was bored so did this.  To me (my opinion) it makes it look much stronger as a festival as a whole when you take away the actual day splits and certainly matches any of the similar festivals across the world.

Can anyone tell me if Foster the People are worth catching on the Sunday? Are they any good live? I’m only really familiar with Torches.

 

I’m still struggling to find much to interest me on the fourth day. So if anyone has any other recommendations, please feel free to suggest anything.

 

At the moment, I’ve got Wunderhorse, Overmono and Rufus Du Sol. And I’ll probably watch Olivia Rodrigo, because it’s not like there are any other options, I don’t think.

I’m not seen them live but have been listening to them a lot since the announcement.  Just a nice happy indie band who will be good to watch with the sun shining.  They’re certainly on my must see list for Sunday.  Looks like it’ll be the opening 3 acts in Klub c for me as I’m a big Lana fan and Remy Bond is quite the copy!!

i'll be watching them. They look like a decent band and their Pumped Up Kicks song is super fun. 

The Sunday itself is actually turning out to be quite a good day for me - v. excited for Allie X, Cliffords, Soulwax & Wunderhorse - Remy Bond's stuff I've liked so far as well.

Goose are a pretty good show. Basically gonna watch foster the people and then spend the rest of the day in the barn for goose, soulwax,  rufus du sol then go home 😉

same. many a time the big acts have been disappointing and the unknowns have been pretty good. so just chill and enjoy it for what it is

I would have been happy enough with Wet Leg, Weezer, Girl in Red and Green Day, but Caribou followed by Underworld is an all-timer for me.

 

And then, complicating matters further are Pvris, Sylvie Kreusch, The Backseat Lovers, Thee Sacred Souls, Fat Dog and Purple Disco Machine.

 

The Scratch and Boston Manor are fairly highly rated too, but not doing a lot for me.

 

So, it looks like I’ll be struggling to find time to eat / drink.

Wet Leg seems fun but seen them enough with that one album so hoping for new music, finally. 

Weezer was pretty average last time, no need to see them. Not to much into Underworld either.

 

But Caribou and Thee Sacred Souls are great names for me. I'll check out The Backseat Lovers, don't know them.

Wet Leg - although echoing that I've seen them enough times with the one record - they're in The Last Dinner Party category of good but need more music - the cost of exploding two quickly. Weezer, Girl in Red and Simple Minds for the nostalgia all have my heart. Lola Young is poppy fun and Celeste is a good songwriter. I like Underworld but if they clash with Green Day, it's easy for Green Day. Slope is where I'll probably be quite a bit on the Friday - Fat Dog, Boston Manor, Gel and The Scratch are all good.

Think one of the lineups that I'm a bit soured on really is Damiano - why invite him back after Maneskin the previous year when he's only had a few songs out on his own? If he plays Maneksin songs again isn't that surely a repeat of last year? Would've been better putting him on the Thurs in the barn vs Linkin Park so you can have Iggy on his own without fear of a clash.

Both Joey Valance & Brae and Fat Dog will be fun.

Joey Valance & Brae is on my to see list.

 

Can't stand Fat Dog though. Also, as said, not into Green Day. Never liked their music, and there doesn't seem to be a good alternative for them either.
