Most have a view of the tent in front!

A couple of things - (1) I had no idea that the place looked like that. It's more regimented than a regimented thing. That 'may' be useful at night though when staggering back ie if you have counted the row and column that you are camped at. However, it's no way near the 'razzmatazz' of general camping.

(2) At the bottom part of the photo of the tents, is that the letters 'Y', 'E', and 'W' within the overall body of the tents? Does that make any sense?

I had actually thought it might be as such, but just couldn't 'see' it. And then my mind started to wander and think maybe it's spelling out something else. Not in a barmy way,- like I personally was being sent a 'message'! Just in an I don't know if it's even spelling out anything kind of a way. It's why i asked. I 'needed' to know! So, thanks Crazy.

Depends on the circumstances doesn't it?

I think of it like a holiday so for somewhere pre - erected to stay I thought of a bunkpad (as I have with rented caravans) like holiday accommodation.  In our case we were in our 50s and getting a coach so there were several factors - access to lovely bogs and showers, not needing to find a camping spot, finally the bunkpad included bunk beds so I didn't need to carry airbed or rollmat from coach park to WV.

So it was the price of doing the fest. Compared to skip I have neither the time, space or inclination to build and maintain a van - it simply wouldn't get used more than once a year so wouldn't be viable.

We're treating this as a once in a lifetime final visit to the festival, so have pushed the boat out big style and its costing more than I care to think about (and will never share on here for sure), but for us its worth it and we are going to enjoy every second of all of the luxury and travelling lite from the time we leave NZ to the time we get back - sometimes you just have to go for it and enjoy what you want, whilst you still can.

I hope you have a fantastic trip and are suitably rewarded by the weather gods 😊

Now, that's what I call dedication.

Wishing you a lovely last Fandango at the festival.

Thank you so much:) - the weather is the only thing i'm worrying about, it just feels like we are due a bad one - been through a few rough ones in the past, but really don't fancy going through one again. Positive thoughts only from now on 😉
