Good news! Wondering if we gonna have some surprises or only bands already announced somewhere else next Summer.

I'm not sure - I expect at least a couple of headliners will be bookings which are present elsewhere (Ed Sheeran, Måneskin, Dua Lipa etc)! But I'm hoping for a curveball or two - Pearl Jam (it's a big ask) haha!

Wondering if we gonna have all headliners and some names. Or just 1 (or 2) headliners. With the tumors, your trio seems the more realistic. Even if Ed Sheeran tour/communication is a bit weird so far for next Summer.

Given the usual approach of Pinkpop in recent years - it seems by December, we would see the 3 headliners amongst the 25 names.

Calvin Harris headliner, didn't see it coming... Ed Sheeran/Sam Smith is a strong duo. Some interesting names but not enough on 1 day for me so far. If Limp Bizkit and Lauren Spencer Smith were on Friday, I'd buy a ticket for sure. Too bad.

Thinking Southside Festival might be my June trip!
It's a shame, because I really love this festival, but for the money needed to make it out there, the line up has to be enough. Pinkpop is arguably the weakest out of the lot for me 😕

Yeah - very underwhelming line up (I'm trying to be diplomatic). Can see why they were so reluctant to put it out. Personally, other than Ed Sheeran, no real big hitter as a headliner.

Ed Sheeran is top. Maneskin and Calvin Harris as headliner 😂

In an interview this week, the organisers said that Muse were booked to play this but in October pulled out of all planned 2024 touring commitments.

Wonder who the Plan B therefore ended up being.

I would say Calvin Harris...

Looking at the underbill, Nothing but Thieves and Royal Blood have both opened for Muse before so if they were looking at doing a matching 1/2, it could make sense for them to have been either on Maneskin day or Calvin day. But I'm guessing Maneskin's level makes Calvin the likeliest Plan B.

Wonder if it also means Muse are either in the mix to play Pinkpop 2025 as a make-up or if the festival is moody with them and won't book.

Depend if it was a one-shot or if the band was supposed to do real tour this Summer. I guess the second option. So wouldn't be surprised if Muse play at Pinkpop on their next run.

As far as I know, Muse weren't planning to have new music this year so could've just been a series of one-offs. Maybe they can be a name in the ring for 2025 as it's plausible a new album will be out then.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
