Yeah when I've seen these numbers before male hapiness tends to bottom around 47/48. The point where you have depedants at both ends, children and eldery parents. Potentially some male menopause / drop off in testosterone levels in there too. I've a mate who's just started on TRT in his mid-40's and every time I see him now he seems to have a black eye from fighting 😄

and does a drop in testosterone make you unhappy..or just less violent/sexy. I definitely get in fewer fights these days, and am considerably less sexy. Hopefully that will pick up again in my 60s.

Yes. It affects mood. Causes depression, sleep problems, lethergy etc..

Ok, maybe it isn't my job I hate then.

But still, that graph shows unhappiness drop from 20s through to 60s..maybe some of that is having kids or the human condition, but it also fits nicely into the years people have to work.

Yes probably some of that in there but doesnt explain the extra drop off in your 40's / 50's.

I guess the answer is inherit money so don't have to work, don't have children and get some decent meds for the menopause.
