I've been on a 4 day week since my heart attack 3 years ago. I'm poorer but much happier. Hoping to drop to a 3 day week after my 60th at the end of this year.

There might be some gains but not enough to offset the lost input. so the result is less for everyone.

 

If someone is proposing it as a new normal then it needs to be honestly sold.

If a consultant takes away a whole day of seeing patients then those lost appointment slots cannot be made up.

It's probably a good thing that the USA has attacked Iran in Iraq and Syria rather than within Iran.

iran is less likely to get badly nasty this way  I think.

This Luke Tryl bloke, along with many others, also argues that Labour dropping the 28bn pledge could backfire, makes them look more and more indecisive and without a plan....and it would appear Labour top brass are split on it.

I say stick with it ffs, fiscal prudence my arse, take the fight to the tories, invest.

They could still do it without the £28bn coming from borrowing. Add the cost to energy bills and pass it on directly to the consumer.

They are sticking with the plan and saying how much they invest depends on the state of the economy after the Tories have finished with it. All the end goal GB Energy, insulation, clean energy are still there; it’s just that they might not spend £28b.

Darren Jones summed it up really well yesterday. Stop falling for the Tories games.

err...well in theory it will lead to growth, which helps pay off that debt...Keynes or something...

I mean they could put up taxes now, a lot fairer then just sticking it on people's bills.
