Do you know for sure that’s what she’s doing?

Home Secretary order a Party that has been in power for 12 years has just said in the Commons that the system is broken. You know the system that they have been in charge of for 12 years.

She’s just doing the Priti schtick for a certain element of their support. See she’s started with the “invasion” rhetoric.

Greta is in bristol on Friday, which reminds me of the joke about how pissed off she'll be when she discovers sex and what condoms are made of.

Do people who are regulars in the politics thread think that every MP goes to the house of commons every day?

How sweet.

I don’t think so. One just decided to have a kick out at a left wing, female, minority MP about nothing because thats the kind of behaviour that is now encouraged amongst Labour supporters.

No one's perfect! And actually this is a quite common belief on the left.

Indeed. It’s no wonder that the likes of Corbyn like him if he holds these types of views.

and actually not just on the left, but in many parts of the world, especially in the global south (I think).

It mostly seems to be a certain type of politician that wants to view Putin in a certain way.

Just think of all that juicy North Sea investment

Just think of the money that could have been coming into the countries bank account if that company was owned by the state.

Oh it was. I wonder which idiots sold it off.

We have to protect investment, I for one am excited to see the results of all this investment in the North Sea.

Looks like the Tories were proved correct on this as well.

    • Stadium gig/s 100% 2027.   As for the offer - dunno what to think. The source is very well placed and, to me, the timing checks out - I'm basing that on the stadium gigs coming after an arena tour... coming after a new record... following a record that propelled them to the next level.   As I keep saying with any info I've shared for Glastonbury next year, though, none of it feels nailed to me.    I assume that they're doing a half decent job of keeping things quiet (still early, I guess). It's all little bits of stuff doing the rounds in the industry. There's none of it that I'd hang my hat on right now. The bits I've shared - I thought they were worth sharing, given the source. Chat about Madonna, the Fontaines snippet, chat about Fender.    A gun to my head right now - Madonna would still be my number one bet. More of a gut feeling, but I feel like the recent doubt may be the festival and/or her people trying to calm the noise a bit after the Graham Norton slip, rather than a u-turn.
    • Have settlers people started receiving their car park passes? I was sure I had bought one, but cant find a receipt for it and nothing through the post yet.
    • @northernangel Are Wolf Alice not in the conversation? They just did a sold out Finsbury Park to 45,000 people, if they're ever gonna get the push it's now.
