Maybe they'll actually do something about that dirty russian money being washed in the London property market.

I do love a good laugh before bed.

they might, that's why they haven't done sanctions before now, there's lots of businesses dependent on that Russian money, and a political party.

Johnson is still not putting in place any further sanctions against Russia, despite the news from Russia this evening. He is incapable of taking action at the right time just like at the start of the pandemic.

Would you take action against the person filling your wallet?

And now the Olympics are over so we can begin.

Yep, see Vlad went and asked a few weeks ago what he was allowed to do and what backing he would get, so sanctions will not bite as much Wonder if a build up around Taiwan will be seen while the west is distracted. Maybe a bit early

All quiet on the eastern front? What happens now..skirmishes at these new borders which spills over into an all out war and then invasion? Is Germany really going to stop buying Russian gas? Is UK going to do something about all that Russian oligarch money in UK economy? If sanctions happen, does that also push up energy prices even further?

In the end the west may just look on and watch Russia invade Ukraine and impose it's own kremlin friendly govt, and that will be the new status quo...for now.

its going nowhere, cos Ukraine wouldn't be admitted to NATO under normal rules (no existing conflicts), so nato has cooked up a defacto membership, countries won't dive in to defend Ukraine.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
