Worthy Farm CHEESE

My friends decided to have wedding cheese instead of wedding cake. 5 stacked rounds of different cheese and a LOT of crackers, chutneys and the like.

Their wedding was in July.

They did not think this through.

Our wedding cake was going to be a 3 tiered cake with all tiers being a cake outer but filled completely with smarties. We were then going to cut through the cake with a chainsaw. However, despite a strong desire to do this we realised that our more conservative parents would probably have a stroke.

If that wasn't enough, our original plans would have seen me wearing a veil, which my wife would lift up and kiss me at the appropriate moment in the service. That would definitely have killed them off, so again was abandoned as a 'runner'.

My friend had wedding cheese too! Sadly I was too drunk by that point to sample any of it.

I’m going to all extremes but marriage might be taking this a step too far 🙂

I think, on reflection, that our original plans for the wedding may have been a little deranged. There was also going to be a point whereby I was to do the grooms speech. However, we planned it that I would actually start to say something and then my 'wife' would say 'Shut up and sit down'. i was then going to sit down and not say another word.

One might get the impression from this that my wife is of a domineering character. She is. but not in my direction. We were just going to do all that stuff because we found it funny. At the end of the day though we both had conservative (and Conservative) parents to accommodate, so we reigned it in.

Ms DVB came home with the Worth Farm Reserve Cheddar & Pickle from the local co-op. No festival entry sticker or code anywhere to be found on it.

I assume the promotion is still on?

Yeah it’s only just started ... sticker should have been on the film on the front 😞

I’ve seen plenty of the competition stickers open while still on the shelves

Do you mean deliberately opened ie. opened, photographed, and then onto the next one type thing? Presumably one has to provide the real original code wrapping in order to win?

I've been given a shed load of non Worthy Farm cheese, so can't see myself helping out others with a new code for some time.

I was .... OK. The pickle to cheese ratio was a little light for my taste, but I'd certainly have one again (making sure it had the sticker on the package this time) 🙄

I'm keen to try one, but I much prefer cheese and onion to cheese and pickle 😊
