sorry i was not much company last night guys  , i had a barrage of calls and text's after BoJo's announcement, and am now currently sat in my office trying to see a way forward and still keep my staff employed .

this Frigging Corona is a complete pain in the arse ( maybe that explains the loo roll situation ??? )

on the upside i did do @Kalopsiaproud in my sleeping on line technique lol

stay safe and well guys , we got this 🙂

It’s all fine ... hopefully the schools remaining open will be of some comfort ... and give enough business ... @Kalopsia tried logging on I think but might have fallen asleep whilst doing so ... 30 mins of you asleep was good company :)

I hope the extension of the furlough helps. I don't envy you.

Good fun last night, I'd had too much to drink and so I may I have talked too much (much more than Arthur).

Woke up this morning to a message from the Covid app telling me to self isolate for 11 days - at least I should find out if I like my own company. I feel fine though and have no symptoms.

The app is telling me to self-isolate until midnight on Wed 11th so I'm taking this to mean that the contact was on Wed 28th (14 days previously) when I was at home all day 🤔 - so not sure what's going on.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
