So excited about collecting our book on Saturday, Michael and Emily will be in the book store to sign:-) , money well spent to pre book this , no wonder it sold out so quickly

if you would be so kind as to ask them to pop onto the resale thread when they get 5 mins to spare :)

OK. Received my copy of the book today. There's a nice shot looking over the festival from high up with the site looking all lit up and smoky.

Overriding emotion:

Fuck I want to get a ticket.

"So Ems, I'm alright to call you that Emily aren't I? Let me tell you a story. It starts with a spreadsheet..."

Reckon they should have kept the option to buy 50 pairs of tickets for those who purchased the book and are registered rather than just for a ballot of registrations. 50th anniversary book, 50 pairs of tickets makes sense.

Me too although this is the most unlikely one ... although ive won tickets before so not impossible :)

I keep hoping that there is some kind of weighting that makes it more likely that you've won if you ordered early. Logic tells me it makes sod all difference but I feel like if you ordered the book back in June without even knowing about the competition you deserve an extra entry.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
