Absence of Dance The Night is an odd one - and special guests may mean some changes at the G - but otherwise she's sticking to the trusted arsenal. -

Leaving the EU probably damaged the economy, but hard to quantity how much because all the other sh*t going on. We've been a bit screwed for a while, heavily reliant on financial sector which got battered in 2008, and ever since treading water. Leaving the EU was sad in my opinion, and also just stupid. Just saying everything would be wonderful under Corbyn is very easy and impossible to prove. Yes he may have nationalised utilities, yes he would have raised taxes and spent more, would that mean the economy was improving and things were good? Who knows. Public services would be in a better state though. Probably. But the economy might also have crashed and everyone is out of work. Maybe. We may also have had a much closer relationship with the EU, infact if he had won we would have had another referendum during covid, would have been interesting. -

Actually would’ve liked one or two more songs from the new one - End of an Era and Falling Forever are two big omissions - otherwise can’t argue with that. Gonna be great. -
All acts who would headline R&L if they played. The others don’t fit the festival. It’s not just 2 nights at the O2, it’s essentially 100k in total with the other UK dates. If you look at those numbers and think that’s lame, that’s insane. Any promoter will look at that and see a headliner, especially when it’s an act relevant to the festival audience who are popular in the main stream. Hell, even the bookers of Download, who have been notoriously stringent with who they promote to headliner status, have said in various interviews over the last few years that they see selling out 2 nights at the O2 the mark of a headliner. Also, Sleep Token are doing 2 nights at the O2. I don’t know where you’ve got 5 from. Their tour selling like it has is absolutely nuts. Around 120k. They sub headlined the FR tent not even a year ago. They’re 100% a headliner now but they will headline DL, not R&L. They’re a poppier band for metal heads, not a more metally band for pop fans. I think that’s a massive myth. The people going to Sleep Token are also into other heavier bands, not pop you hear on Radio 1.

Completely agree, it’s also the reason I’ve achieved very little at work this week!
