Ahhh, on it! The title doesn't lend itself to a download sub slot though?
seant007
Just now, Moey said: Ahhh, on it! The title doesn't lend itself to a download sub slot though? Maybe not but they've been comin to download every other tour cycle pretty much, and Kentucky + this is a lot for a band to do in 3 years. seant007
I'd say Volbeat sub-sub below BSC or BSC don't play at all. Edited January 18, 2018 by seant007

seant007
Just saw that BSC are hitting Graspop, I'd say they are Set. Also another band to throw on the table is Amaranthe, hard to believe they haven't done download by now. Andre91
Knocked Loose are the one band I would really love to be announced. Edited January 18, 2018 by Andre91
Nice to Michu
I'm sure Royal Blood are in America the time of Download.
h1210
Based on who is around at the time, I'm hoping for Ghost, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, NOFX, and Frank Carter. I'm reasonably happy already but 2 or 3 of the above and I will be sold.

seant007
One band no one seems to be mentioning (maybe because they were controversial the last time they played) that could be put in and also a band that I hope does is Chase & Status. They are playing Rock Am Ring and have quite a bit of leeway with gigs lately. Again the only 2 negatives about them that I can think of is they are not really 100% rock, and they haven't done gigs like Download in a wile, but Rock am Ring might give them a 2nd stage position, They are pretty explosive of a live act. DomDom1984
I don't know where Chase and Status would fit on a lineup right now, given they'd definitely be lower on the bill than they were last time. Last time they had a slot before The Prodigy, and even then I thought they were a bit out of place.
BigG94
Last time I checked CAS were a dance group no?
Nice to Michu
Chase & Status only played last time because The Prodigy requested them underneath.
dentalplan
Hope the day comes when a headliner request Carpenter Brut open for them.
Pop Punk Sucks
No way Chase & Status turn up. Rock AM Ring is more like Reading and Leeds than Download so not that relevant to what Download books really. They've got Snow Patrol playing. RockCatNamedBob
I predict The Hives below Black Stone Cherry then Seether below them on Saturday.
Dukey
Excited for this announcement, if 10 of the bands are decent I'll be happy with this years lineup
Andre91
It’s now 60 bands being announced so that will be the majority of the lineup including the 20 we already have. Reckon we could get day and stage splits? If they have 80 bands booked then they must have them sorted them as to who is playing where, because that only leaves another 20 or so to be added in. Black Stone Cherry have announced an Irish date on Thursday 7th June so they must be nailed on to sub GNR now.
DomDom1984
I'd be stunned if we didn't get splits with that size of announcement. Paramore as the other sub with the arena tour being done?

A7X / BFMV / Enter Shikari GNR / BSC / Volbeat Ozzy / Manson / Ghost
DomDom1984
Seems a bit odd to keep BSC back after announcing the other five bands in the top six. Is there anyone else it'd make sense for? Stone Sour would be a decent guess on that basis I think.
