Never heard of them can someone she'd some light? I assume this means a load of small announcements later?

I'm none the wiser too so hopefully this is the start of a bigger announcement today.

If so, Jimmy Eat World and Flogging Molly plz.

Main square festival in France has the same line up as rock werchter. Wtf

Someone please tell me rock werchter is better than main square?

The same? No Foo Fighters, (Linkin Park), Arcade Fire at Main Square. The atmosphere, the crowd isn't comparable, Way better at werchter. Main stage on werchter is grass, Main square is stones. Werchter has 4 festivaldays, Arras only 3. So, Arras isn't playing in the same league as werchter.

I did the two festivals and the big difference between Werchter and Main Square is definitely the atmosphere and the crowd. The Main Square is more familial in comparison to Werchter.

depends what you want, a fully blown festival or a more intimate city/town festival, Arras is a beautiful place with some decent bars. But doubt there would be any hotels left so you would have to look at Lens or Lille

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
