Sigrid to headline a stage this year? Her album be out before the fest and she should blow up more. She was great last year. Her vocals are flawless.

I have her 5th down nme, could be a bit higher but I doubt she'll headline the tent. Pretty sure her album is coming late 2018 too no?

But The Hunna won't so pointless argument

Don't think she'll headline a stage, but I imagine she'll be pretty high up (around 4th) NME.

I originally heard early this year but that was around October last year and its now halfway through Feb so you're probably right. I'm seeing her in March though so hoping she must have a solid amount of tracks ready to go.

It’s almost a certainty IMO. New album out in May, he’s very much a regular at R&L, not an expensive booking, doesn’t demand high slots and is popular. There’s not really any reason it won’t happen. Only question is whether it’s just FTATSS or will Mongol Horde also be doing a set.

When he was a regular at R&L he was relevant amongst teenagers (until his last couple of appearances). Now he isn't and he's a pointless booking.

Who's in the pool of possible headliners then?

Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys, Florence + the Machine, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy.

Is there anyone I've missed that we might expect?

BMTH I guess. We've also been told Kings of Leon by someone who's previously given us both good and bad info but it seems very unlikely.

Frank Turner would still be a great booking for me but didn't someone say he's confirmed he's not doing fests this year?

Tour tickets were £30 each so I'm hoping he doesn't turn up at Leeds

To be fair a set of cardboard cutouts for KOL would do the trick fine and save a hell of a lot of dosh. Would be a poor booking.

All the other mentioned names seem very appealing indeed.

Though I’ve heard Kendrick being notoriously expensive to book I think R+L would be mad not to book him. Tremendous appreciation amongst all kinds of music fans, failing not to mention the younger newer demographic that is keen on the rap/hip hop/grime.

I think if the new 2 stage format goes ahead it’ll open us up for the likelihood of more Co headlining. Household R+L names who might not occupy the full headliner status. Royal Blood, I know Alt-j are at Latitude but that kind of act, XX.

The third evening I have not a clue

I don’t think I’ll be disappointed but I’m not expecting much at all.

Yeah, this is the thing. If the 2 stage thing is true this could open the door for so much more, but if they're booking Kendrick then some of the other headliners will be pretty weak in all honesty. Kendrick would be a pretty strong booking for them even though I'm not a huge fan, not lying about that.

30 Seconds to Mars (I know they’re not everyone’s cuppa tea)

Would alt-j be possible for Co headlining, I know they’re playing Latitude?

Cant think of any other particular viable options due to tour dates.

    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
