Brian Blessed is awesome.  I saw an open-air showing of Flash Gordon at Somerset House on the Aldwych a few years ago and Blessed gave a brief chat to the crowd before the film was rolled.  His arrival was heartily cheered and he chatted for a few minutes saying how much he enjoyed making the film and how he still gets recognised for it more than other stuff.  And then at the end he paused and yells,

 

"Gordon's Alive"

 

The crowd went apeshit and so,

 

"I'll say it again: Gordon's Alive!"

 

Which is how I imagine he reacts when finding out the bar is free.  And inevitably has Gordon's gin..
