Revol
Hi - I know this has been asked before at the start of the year but I have recently checked the K.C website and they say with regards to leaving site: "I'm sorry but as with most festivals we operate a no pass out system". I appreciate this may be nonsense to stop people going off to Penrith to stock up on food thus undercutting the profits of the market traders on site but I need to double check with people who have been before as the last thing I want is to get there on Thursday head off back to town where I've booked accommodation and then find that I'm barred from getting back in.People have mentioned that they have been back to their cars during the festival so I'm guessing I'm being paranoid. Thanks in advance for any help.
Comfy Bean
You can leave no problem and stroll back in just waving your wristband. I've done it before and will be doing it again this year. Nothing to worry about :-)
LOCHLAND5
Yeah You can get get in and out , its more difficult than it was in the early years but you can. Where you staying ? probably best to get organised nearer the time and book taxi or arrange pick ups , theres always a lot of locals getting back to town so it can get a bit manic with folk pinching your taxi if that makes sense. I am going in Thursday to pitch tent and watch James then retreating to the comfort of mt bed in town. Returning sometime Friday to camp but will have to go off site every morning to check the fence around our yard that we have to put up to keep the great un washed out for the weekend !!!! Festival , Factory ............. Both start with F's but thats where the similarity ends ! Apparently its because our yard has a real party vibe and we just have to live with it! so yes you can go out !

paula1972
Some of our group went to get out as needed to get some wellies and find a bank. They would only give a pass to two out of the four that wanted to go, the woman was a right cow as well! I think the constant peeing down with rain must have made her grumpy. Comfy Bean
Aye. Emperors debut for me this year. After the monsoons last year I had to bribe the Mrs with any luxuries going. Best bit for me will be parking closer to the tent.

bottonrob
The Emperors entrance can still get mucho boggy if the weather is Cumbrian again, though yes the close car proximity makes it worth every penny... Top tip the further left (uphill) you go the more space you get.
