I will have you know that us middle aged ravers were young uns when Leftfield burst on to the scene !!!

I'm one too, it's just funny - there were only a few young'uns with album t-shirts all excited that I almost wanted to shake by the hand and congratulate on their taste in music

Luckily hadn't imbibed that much. But I know the thrill of seeing a band where you thought the chance had passed, wonderful thing

Great gig last night, you're all in for a treat tonight. Only a couple of tracks as I recall from each of the earlier two albums, so yeah mostly the new album. Nice crowd of mostly older folk as you'd expect, barely anyone filming the whole thing as you usually get at gigs, everyone actually immersed in the music and enjoying themselves. The bass was RIDICULOUS. Only minor complaint is it felt like they could have done a couple more tunes and I believe there was another 15 mins before the curfew - but that's being picky. Did I mention the bass?

I'm at Manchester gig next Thursday, mostly doing the new album from what I've heard. I love it already so fine by me. Expect they will mix it up with a bit more from Leftism etc at Glasto. Bad clash for me too but with PSB but only saw them a couple of weeks ago or they might have won.

Anyone else wish they were not on in Sonic? Don't think I've ever really enjoyed anything in there

Totally this. I haven't been in there, but I have just heard endless reports of the sound and sight lines being terrible. I'd have loved them to be somewhere else. It's the one thing that is making me doubt whether I will see them. What if that bass that everyone goes on about just doesn't materialise?

On the other hand, I think I will probably start there, and if I can't get he sound right, I'll head across to Deamau5 on The Other Stage & give that a go.

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
