Kanye setlists

Messy

Recommended Posts

If I can guarantee beforehand that Kanye doesn't play Niggas In Paris, I'd quite like to see him.

Definitely my most hated song of the decade so far and four years on i still hear it everywhere. I think hearing it live at Glastonbury would break me.

What's the likelihood?

you never know - saw him at Wireless last year and he didn't play it, but he has played it at other shows. his setlists in the run up to Glastonbury will be a good indicator (not that he's announced any shows in the run up yet - i imagine there will be some)

Blood on the leaves is my favourite track at the moment, that's gonna be insane live!

That setlist is great but where is through the wire or all falls down or heard 'em say or love lockdown or homecoming...the guy has so many hits! Never been this excited to see a headliner before

He'd never ever do it but i'd love to see the whole of Last Call including the 9 minutes of talking, it tells such a good, funny story. This will be my 7th time seeing the great man and this show has me more excited than any I've seen before.

YEEZUS SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY LANDED!

that black skin head would certaily make a great opener, wonder if he will do a video like jay z,...be quite good if it showed all the twitter and facebook reaction to his announcement, and then he comes on stage with that song as a bit of a fuck you moment

Do people honestly think he'll have special guests with him? People speculated along the same lines for Jay-Z and i think he delibretely did it alone to proove that he was capable?

Dont get me wrong i'd love to see them all show up for certain tracks!

I think it's pretty much impossible to predict whether the likes of Jay-Z and Rihanna will make an appearance. Jay Z had no guests when he did Glastonbury, but two years later when he headlined Isle of Wight Kanye unexpectedly appeared for Run This Town. I think it really depends on whether they've got other plans for that weekend, whether it's another gig or their own lives away from music.

Anyone else think the petition/general response might make a jay z guest spot more likely. I mean it makes Kanye more likely to ask his mate Jay Z about glasto, given Hov's history there, and might mean he asks Jay Z for some help.

I know this is some ludicrous theorising and straw clutching but I'm watching Jay's set at Big Weekend and damn they work well together live, think the crowd would go wild for the likes of Gotta Have It, No Church in the Wild, Otis, Run This Town and obviously Paris.

Edit: If jay does guest i could see it at the end of Yeezy's main set followed by an encore with the likes of Blood on the Leaves, Only One and hopefully Hey Mama, and more hopefully a fan fave like Devil in a new dress or family business.

That's assuming Rihanna isn't the third headliner.

Rihanna headlining now Kanye is? No chance - it's not V!

I reckon Jay-Z and Kanye had long, long discussions regarding Glastonbury before any accepting of offers was done.

I saw Watch The Throne and although people think it's a load of shit because they played a certain song several times each night on that particular tour, it was absolutely incredible.

I would, of course, welcome Jay-Z turning up but Glastonbury is the kind of thing acts want to nail on their own without help. Much like Jay-Z in 2008(?) and Beyonce not bringing out anybody who was actually worthy of mentioning.

Could well be true this. Would be very surprised if Big Sean didn't guest though, but I suppose he's not the kind of big name that's gonna detract from Kanye killing it.

I'm quite surprised a lot of you are not including 'No Church in the Wild' - I love that song and if Jay Z does show up, it would have to be dropped.

Been smashing through a load of his old stuff on spotify, when you run through it you realise he does have a LOT of very good songs, some gems I had forgot about or not even heard before.

I saw Eminem at Wembley last year and I reckon Kanye will do a similar thing to what he did in cutting out verses from some of his songs so he can fit more in. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread it's good because you hear some more tracks yet also quite annoying as you are really getting into some songs then he will cut it due to time restraits. He has that similar problem like Eminem in having a large back catalogue.

A few tunes I would love him to play yet sure he won't are:

Family Business

Welcome to Heartbreak - probably my fav tune of his

Pinocchio story (although this is more a live freestyle than a song)

i had a hard time thinking of what song he'd close with - he doesn't have that signature tune that always closes his set like many acts do. Blood On The Leaves was a brilliant one on the last tour but i doubt he'll use it as a closer again (probably close the main set with it)

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
