I just don't really see them appealing to R&L crowd. Not really relevant enough.

As Neil alluded to, I'd see it as being similar to them booking The Chems, or Underworld, or Orbital - there are much more suitable places for them to play.

Tho both would like their image to not be 'dance pop', which is what Faithless are in comparison.

Until Fleetwood Mac got ruled out of Glastonbury this year I thought they were gonna have a "year of the F".

Think your expectations might be a bit too high. Foals are looking a likely headliner and Foos, Muse, Blur would be absolutely huge.

Also dunno how Royal Blood could feature and not sub nor headline considering they're third down this year.

I wonder if festival bookers / Vaccines management are assuming they have declined but they are given lower slots which receive massive crowds in comparison to what they expect.

It's not that they've dropped down any of the one or two UK lineups and one Ireland lineup that are being used against them, they have stayed the same and haven't progressed or progressed as expected. People just want to buy into this thing that they've fallen off the face of the Earth when that's far from being confirmed. It's still very plausible they could sub R+L.
