" People of Scotland - vote YES and set us English free "

" Instead of condemning us to perpetual Tory rule, independence may reinvigorate Labour and bring us the devolution we crave."

According to that well known snipster a wee while back.................Billy Bragg.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/apr/23/scotland-vote-yes-set-english-free-independence-devolution

Billy Bragg is an English nationalist? Who knew.

Meanwhile, back in the early days of the SNP's rise, what was it that drove people to support the SNP?

Now they're all in favour of the nasty English nationalism that people joined the SNP in disgust about.

I've got yo-yos with greater intellectual stability. :P

" Significantly poorer ".....relative to who / where ?

relative to the levels of prosperity you have now.

When the SNP are calling a self-funded Scotland "suicide" you should kn0ow you're deeply in the shit.

Or just take a look at GERS?

FFS. Youi can't reject reality in the same way you reject the facts.

Russy mate, I think you need to think quite a lot of this through. Public spending being cut / slashed you say..........

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/dec/03/autumn-statement-2014-george-osborne-spending-cuts

As intelligent as you pointing out the UK's debts.

Just because something is shit within the UK doesn't get to mean that iScotland automatically get to do it better.

Cos if that's true, you're claiming Scotland and people in Scotland as exceptional people.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why Scotland would out-perform all other mature economies, as Sturgeon claims it would?

Oh look Nigel farage is on question time. What a shock.

Edit: in fact the whole QT panel is an argument to get out of the UK.

Tory , Tory journalist, worse than TorY, guitarist with shit hair & the poshest Labour mp they could find.

I'm a democrat , get me out of here.

You're such a democrat, you can't accept the democratic self-determination of the people of Scotland, nor the democratic self-determination of the people of UK.

That's how much of a democrat you are.

thought tristham hunt was quite good on question time last night, seems weird for him to be labour leader tho!

Tristam Hunt, a rhyming slang man. He's actually Mandleson's man.

And Kendall is Blair's woman.

And Mrs Balls is Mr Balls' woman.

And Burnham is a right wing c**t pretending to be something else.

And Chukka is just a right wing c**t.

I'm so very pleased that the tories now have no realistic opposition and all that's left for the UK is nationalist politics which will make everything so much better.

:sarcastic: i thought chukka was mandelsons man!

oh dear its not great is it, i think he did well in recognising rightly or wrongly that labour did not leave enough money to deal with a possible deficit, they have clearly lost the argument on that one so now just have to say they got things slightly wrong and they have have learned from it

sigh...its all a big game is it not

I've just heard the BBC report that the SNP got a bigger share of the vote (which was just under 50%) than any party in Scotland's history.

Which is utter bull.

Next up, the claims that SNP got a majority of the Holyrood vote, when it hasn't.

Closely followed by "scotland's future is for the peopole to decide" and yet there's no party offering the devo-max option which is what most of Scotland wants.

I think utter bull is overstating it. You have to go back to 1910 for a clear higher %. You can spin interpret another couple of elections as higher depending how you define conservative. They'd have been better going for the past 50 years.

is the beeb's claim right or wrong? It's wriong, and therefore utter bull.

As ever, a snipper just can't accept the indisputable fact.

The beeb's claim is wrong.

Is it utter bull? If it is ,your repeated claim that the Snp got 49% of the vote is utter bull.

'better option' as in electable? I doubt it.

The papers would just run story after story about who came along with her.

As in political stance and sense.

I think she wouldn't actually just be Balls' puppet, but whether the electorate would believe that is an entirely different issue,.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
