Getting over a break up?

I've had similar with ex's. PEOPLE be crazy.

I can understand the person who has been dumped bombarding the dumper with texts, but she dumped him! Why is she sending him 6 unanswered texts! Presumably they arent begging him to go back to her, so I cannot fathom how she thinks it's a good idea?

Or is she just cruelly trying to destroy him mentally?

Blokes more so I'd say. Couple of my mates have done some batshit crazy things with girls.

Edit - that sounds quite sinister. Its not meant to be. They've just done some mental stuff and made tits of themselves.

they broke up.... he was dumped... ?

maybe she's having difficulties adapting to the changes that maybe she wasn't expecting. Who knows...?

she made her bed, now she must lie in it.

Any rational adult human being should be aware that sending endless "U OK babe?" texts to someone who is not replying is not a good idea.

She's either cruel, or a thicko. I would suggest that couchy is well rid of her either way.

After being together so long, I'd suggest she's just missing him. Whether she dumped him is irrelevant she won't stop giving a damn over night even if she no longer

loves him. He described their relationship as best friends after all.

There's a difference between missing someone and acting like a bunny boiler.

6 unanswered texts and a facebook message though!

Too bad if the poor little lamb is missing him. My sympathies lie entirely with couchy.

The harridan probably just had an argument with her new fella and went crawling back to her comfort blanket is my suspicion.

To hell with this witch. Block her. Block her now.

I'm not saying it's normal or acceptable behaviour just guessing at her reasons. Some people send unnecessary texts at the best of times. Notice I again say people. Women are no worse than men.

this is by no means attack on her sex. If couchy was female and the demented ex male then everyone would still be saying the same things.

Her motives are clear: she wants the excitement of a new fella, and the security and comfort of her ex.

She needs to wise up and realise you cannot have your cake and eat it without ramifications.

In the meantime, while she is gorging on her cake, couchy sinks further into misery..

Her behaviour might be making her feel better, but it's an utterly selfish position.

Yeah but they wouldn't be say "bitches be crazy" about a bloke, would they. My point is, people are crazy.

I did say that in jest! A failed attempt at humorous irony. As I've said, from my experience, a lot of times blokes are crazier when a relationship goes tits up.

Would they?

Would at least claim stalker as a weird sort of jokey putdown. I've heard it used by women and guys before when a guy is getting weird about a relationship.

(Obviously not personal experience...I am a sane human being :P)

I generally go for comedic books, Danny Wallace, Jeremy Clarkson(?), I might reread Harry Potter & some historical Navy books. But I could perhaps get into a new series of books. I also listen to a lot of comedy podcasts such as the Carl Donnelly & Chris Martin comedy podcast.

I'm really using it to help me sleep at night, otherwise I end up not being able to sleep thinking of everything. I get a terrible nights sleep usually anyway & may consult a doctor if it doesn't get better as it just ruins my next day & I have more thoughts in my head than I ought to.

I know from working as cabin crew drinking to get to sleep ruins your REM but recently its been better than a dreadful 2 hour nights sleep.

I understand. I used to be the type of I only drink when I'm properly going out but its taken a bit of a turn recently.

Get a good cheap second hand comedic book or two off ebay and have them to distract you when you are over thinking things in a negative way.

Lloyds Chemist's have an own brand extra strength sleeping aid tablet that you can get over the counter for short term use. Might be worth buying a packet to see if they would help. I've used them before and although not 100% successful, they did knock me out some of the time.

Whatever the case, I'd not recommend turning to alcohol to get you to sleep. Alcohol may just fuel your negative thoughts while awake, and give you a crap sleep when not. Then you have to wake up feeling shit. It's a vicious circle, and not the solution.

Thanks, I will give them a look. I have to be careful due to drug tests, but I will let them know before hand.

Dating is hard nowadays: i seem to have first great dates, but then no follow up from the lady for a second date.

Made me wish i married my ex now, just so i wouldn't have to bother with this bullshit malarkey.

you should tell your ex that, it's one of the most romantic things I've ever read!

I've given up on Romance to be honest. I'll just find someone vaguely decent looking to have kids with at the moment. Be easier as i get older, as the older ladies will be in the same boat.
