Radiohead in 2015?

Ah that sounds like a good challenge!

For me I'd say nick cave and ummm. Does bowie count as still active? flaming lips maybe....(dont think many people will agree with me on that one!)

It's worrying that I've long loved Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Radiohead and the band I got into most last year was Nick Cave and this year was the Lips. I'm russifying.

I would say Radiohead beat out Cave and the Lips though. I'd say Bowie is defunct but he's still releasing albums so I dunno.

Bowie definitely counts. He’s third behind Arcade Fire and The National though, obviously. Radiohead are fourth. I only like them lot really. I’ll give fifth spot to New Order for having two of the best singles ever.

It’s all very white and male, isn’t it.

Fourth? You do not understand. You need to listen to more of their music. Radiohead are amazing.

In fairness, fourth out of all the music ever created does suggest that they’re quite good. I love them, In Rainbows and OK Computer are perfect albums. I just don’t love them as much as the other three.

Desperate to see them again as I was underwhelmed last time. They sounded great, like, it just wasn’t the life changing spectacle I was hoping for.

Here we are in September still and the non Radiohead rumours are starting already. I'd go bats if it was true and won't allow myself to believe it thus in case I go mad if I didn't get ticket!

please let it happen, at least before my Glastonbury life cycle comes to and end!

Yep, that would go down great!... In all seriousness though, along with Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead are my most wanted band to headline for next year although I know it won't happen; would happily take a Thom Yorke or AFP set instead! Loving Tomorrows Modern Boxes.

    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
    • I dunno - I thought that initially but I'm, reluctantly, edging towards not happening as it stands. Will continue to dig where I can, though.   Re 2028 - I wouldn't be confident. If this is the second time they've tried and it's gone belly up, it could be a case of just write it off.
