Very sad day for me. Myself and the vet have decided that it is time for Sam to go to rainbow bridge. He will be going to sleep at 11am on Friday in his own home. He will have a sedative beforehand as he is so confused at the moment. Everyone has said for months that I'll know when the time is right. Although my heart is hurting right now, I know that that time is here. My beautiful little boy will be playing up there soon with his Auntie Tammy.

Too many posts to tag, thank you everyone for your very kind words. I have never been as sad as I am today. This day has been coming for 4 months. I am heartbroken. There has been more evidence of his brain lesions tonight so I know I am doing the right thing. He is my world. I really don't know how I'm gonna cope on Friday, but my lifelong friend is going to be here with me. Sorry I can't get all excited with you all tonight. Love you though!! You're a fabulous bunch of randoms haha. Much respect and off to bed to spoon with my little man! He loves nothing better than to get beneath the duvet. For the rest of his life, he is allowed! x

CG hope you do not mind me saying.

We had Barney cremated in a proper dog crematorium and have is ashes at home with us, the ones most of the vets push are normally bulk cremators who collect weekly from vets with surgical waste. The vets get payed to push them.

We used a service which is local to us called Digmity Pet Cremations (http://www.dignitypetcrem.co.uk ) they were really good and respectful.

I am really sorry to bring this up, but knowing how special Sam is to you I wanted you to be in a position to make a informed decision when the time comes

    • Came here to post that.   Not based on any info, can just see it happening.
    • I'm not sure about the entrance but it wouldn't be a surprise to find the festival have secured use of the land from Steanbow who own it for either new CV space, or for authorised off-site camping as they did with Worthy View.  An authorised off-site pitch-your-own with decent facilities priced just below WV would fly off the shelves as an option.
    • Burnham needs to hold onto his seat , plus needs labour to hold onto all those other seats that could go Reform, so I think some blue labour stuff might stay...and it will be back to the tactic of hoping enough left/liberal voters will get behind labour and not go Green in order to stop a Reform govt...obviously wasn't working with Starmer, but might with Burnham if he shows enough leg. Have to see, Burnham is going from a cushty job where he's very popular and seen as successful to probably the most difficult job going, prime minister of this country...and his popularity might not last long when people realise he can't fix all the problems over night. What he can do is give a sense of direction and optimism which is badly needed, but he will also be faced with a whole bunch of nasty trade offs and could be where Starmer is now in a matter of months.
    • Yep, The Cure and The xx are the two most painful misses for me this year. The Cure literally plays at every corner, except the one I attend to.
