Morning peeps. Just went through a LOT of pages and pictures. I'm on a sick day cos I've had a poorly head for a few days now.

I don't know who the chappy is with the orange moustache is in the pics but he was jolly nice. I think he just randomly came over cos we were all sporting tweed and moustaches as well.

Gumby, you're the only person I know going to Foo's. Mind if I tag along with ya?

Lovely sunny day in the Emerald Isle, just wish I could go out and enjoy it.

Or course you can tag along! Only thing I'll say though, is I'll be there with mrs gumby and gumby jr. so we'll be fairly far back. He's having Thursday and Friday with us, then going to his Nanny and Grandad's on Saturday.

P.S. Hope you feel better soon!

Yeah, we think it should work well. Last time we took him he was only 6 months, so he wasn't very mobile, and he stayed for the whole thing. He loved it, but it was pretty tiring! This time, he'll be 2 and a half, and running around like a maniac. He'll get a couple of days there with us to enjoy the sights and some music, then we'll have a couple of days to let our hair down a bit more while he sees the grandparents. Hopefully should be a 'best of both worlds' arrangement!

That's such a great plan, I'd love to take my best friends five year old but she thinks he's too young!!! You're never too young, or too old for glastonbury :) x

Must admit, first time he went we were a little concerned he might be overwhelmed by the sensory overload! But he just spent 5 days with a huge grin on his face :)

The guy here said he had a message form his daughter asking him to take up wellies one year when he went to collect said granddaughter, I can't remember what year it was but he said he went and got as many pairs as he could and sold them all when he collected the baby! Must have been loads of unprepared people!!

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
