Food places to avoid

Which food spots would people suggest avoiding at Glastonbury? I'm not talking personal taste, but value for money and quality of food. As a massive skinflint, I resent paying over a fiver for a microscopic 6% meat burger and 3 chips.

The "All Day Breakfast" tent by the farmhouse and cash machines. Utter shite, and you have to walk up a hill for it.

My usual rules at festivals is the nearer a stall is to a big stage, the more likely it is to be worth avoiding.

There are some exceptions at Glastonbury though — like that halloumi place near the Pyramid, and a number of the stalls at Jazz World West Holts.

actually even the bog-standard market food near the other stage isn't a total disaster, but there's so much else. but occasionally it's the right thing

There's a Chinese & British food tent next to a lock up in Dairy Ground. Convenient but rubbish.

I avoid all Chinese type noodles at all festivals as they can be sitting there for a while.

Le Grand Bouffe near the pyramid stage. Everyone raves about it but I found one sausage, average red wine gravy and i think a few cubes of potato was eyes out for nearly £10! Had way better sausage

Probably get struck down for this but I'm not a fan of Stumpets with Crumpets. Yes it tasted okay, but I thought it was way overpriced for what you got. Same for Tea and Toast. You could get a fairly substantial meal at other vendors for about the same price.

I got a chicken salad box from a stall opposite the other stage last year (over to the right if facing the stage). It was warm and had obviously been sitting out for hours, so I chucked it as was worried it would make me I'll.

Personally, I also plan to avoid Anna Mae's mac and cheese. I know a lot of people here seem to like it, but when we went on the Thursday, we waited ages for them to make a new batch only for the pasta to be severely undercooked (I mean actually undercooked, not al dente or whatever). They also put so much mustard in the sauce that you couldn't taste the cheese.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but as much as I love mac and cheese, I won't risk going there again -- there's just so much great food at Glasto!

Anything around the other stage except the growler. I seem to remember the burritos and pies are "okay" but it all looks a bit average
