Can anyone, especially Wozzy, let me know on twitter if there's an anouncement?

I've seen the Hospitality one & am happy happy but actually have to go to hospital.

I have concerns as to whether you will make it to Glastonbury or not. Are you OK?!

Though now everyone's got their hopes so high no doubt it ends up being some one shit.

Haha, that's the tragic rule to all this, isn't it. It's why I stopped coming into this thread before I found out about the bloody Who and I'm still disappointed!

I think the libertines or Kylie minogue are more likely than swift.

Out of curiosity, what stage would Gladys knight play? Her tour is very convenient for Glastonbury but can't grasp the size of acts like that

I'd have thought her dates rule her out as that would mean 5 dates in a row.

Libertines i reckon. would fit in to the 'they're probably British' (sic) comment that Michael made. don't think he could mistake Swift for being British

I presumed the probably British quote was with reference to the who, as they only have two members officially, so it's not clear who the others in the band would be, but they'l probably be British

what about kraftwerk on before the who

Kraftwerk is an interesting one. Maybe not under The Who. But I'm surprised they have not been involved at all over the last few years.

The only UK appearance that comes to mind is the Latitude headline slot. They have been in and around Europe non stop for the last few years. But nothing in the UK.

Didnt they play TITP in 2013??

Swift, Libertines, Foals? Any one of those three would be a fantastic sub. Though now everyone's got their hopes so high no doubt it ends up being some one shit.

Can't go wrong with any of them. I'd have watched Noel, I'd watch Foals, if it's the Libertines or Swift I find something else fun to do. Boom.

what about spandau ballet or culture club on after lionel as possibilities?

I thought perhaps maybe duran duran, but they are playing elsewhere on the sunday...my friends will see them at Sonar (which at first seems bizarre, but when you consider they have some huge (electronic) tunes it has to be said.

could all be seen as bonkers bookings...but then they do have Motorhead on there

do you think that Glasto will wait till 1st of June to announce The Who as the final headliner even though the cat is out of the bag?

    • Hot on the heels of outdoor gig number 1, the second arrived quickly! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Malahide last night (lovely sunny evening for it!). As usual, fantastic gig (ebbed and flowed from tender to feral). Since they aren't touring an album it was very different to the Wild God shows from last year, with a bunch of tracks that hadn't been played in a good while wheeled out. Highlights for me were a blistering rendition of Hiding All Away (that merged into the end of White Elephant) and a touching interpretation of A Rainy Night in Soho to close the set (well after curfew!). @Superscally, still nothing from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (they really must not like that album!)
    • I’m putting the 2026 code and it’s not applying the discount. Does somebody know why?
    • I think I’ve asked this before, but do we know why this is a ‘never happen’ one? I understand with Queen and Duran Duran, but I’ve never seen anything written saying one way or another if they’d do it. Would be an incredible get.
    • Here we goooo!   I never thought I'd say this at Prima Porto, famous for its rainy weather... I wish it'd be a bit colder ;D
    • I saw an interview the other day with Simon and he was asked about Glastonbury legends spot and he did say they consider themselves headliners and also said something like "The legends slot is a kind of headline slot" The actual wording might be slightly different but it gave an indication that maybe?
