What a thoroughly uninspiring and boring third headliner Radiohead would be. Would make sense though to appease the Glastonbury die hards after the Kanye announcement

Is it because they aren't the stone roses?

Radiohead are much more interesting booking than the roses... Christ.

I wouldnt be there for the Stone Roses

However, are they a more interesting booking than the Roses? They've played like what, 5 times or so in the past? Roses how many times?

Pretty sure radiohead have only played three times and their last headline appearance was in 2003... And a secret set in 2011. So really they aren't as regular as you are making out!

it's not gonna be Radiohead, is it? as much as having both Kanye and Radiohead in the same year has always been a dream of mine, i just don't see the point in it unless they're planning on dropping their new album out of nowhere again before the fest (which, to be fair, is something that could definitely happen) and announce some tour dates. at least Prince is actually touring this year, even if he does still seem like an impossible act to get

Anyone else get a promo tweet from Gigs and Tours last night saying follow them for the Glasto 2015 announcement? Feels close to me!!!!

They're merely guessing.

gigs are tours are serial bullshitters who know nothing. Their whole business is based around paid-for traffic - fake traffic - which they use to mug advertisers.

I know this because I know of some advertisers who wouldn't pay them for their attempted rip-off - and do note that I wouldn't risk stating this and leaving myself open to being sued is I didn't know that I can prove beyond all doubt what I've typed here.

Always? really? what a strange dream.

As Gnom said arent some of them out of the country doing their own pretentious works? Cant see it being them. Me pal would be uncontrollable if was though, she loves them..

Did anyone see that flag last year someone had - Play The Fucking Bends - made me laugh man.

yep both Jonny and Phil are doing their own solo stuff this year. neither directly over Glastonbury, but it'd be very unlike Radiohead to just get together for a one-off festival headline performance and then a couple of days later go back to doing their stuff

Hmm. I'd be careful, even if you can prove it - you'd need to be able to prove it with admissible evidence and it'd cost you shitloads even to get that far. I've seen plenty of defamation cases based on comments just like that (although, to be fair, they're usually said to customers).

OMG guys, it's obviously not Radiohead, they've not released any new material to bump them up after they played half way down the Park in 2011...

This is a joke post, before you all go getting excited. Normally I wouldn't feel the need to point this out, but you just never know with the way this thread's gone.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
