I ran to get to this on saturday night. Got in by about 11.30. The place was pumping, seriously the best tent I was in all weekend. Then at 12:30 some guy from the tent next door came in and told Murphy that they had to close as the sound was clashing with theirs. Don't know what his tent was called but it was the one with the large boat thing outside it. So the commotion unfold then as I was right by the dj box for the whole thing. Each of the soulwax guys then went over and had a word with them as did Murphy again but the guy wasn't having any of it. Murphy just faded the music down and apologised, said what was going on and it was supposible going to infringe the Glastonbury license if they continued. And that was it. The best party of the weekend cut like that. While we could all hear some shite house being pumped out from next door. A really sad moment. The 3 djs were well fucked off. Wouldn't be surprised if they'll not be back.

Oh really? That wouldn't have been long after I left the tent.

Went every night, was absolutely amazing! Great music, incredible sound and an excellent atmosphere. Was gutted when they kicked out early on Saturday, especially just after an amazing mix of You Make Me Feel.

The highlight of my festival!

Seriously that's gutting! Was there earlier in the night to get my fill (like everything else had to leave still wanting more) but could have stayed there all night.. Does anyone know if they have any more gigs lined up in the UK?

If they could shove it SE corner ways that would be helpful rather down in the awful Silver Hayes.

I've got a feeling this could be the case if indeed it is at the festival again. They will have been offered at better spot. Last year's announcement came very late, like a few weeks before the festival. Seems like it was a last minute thing.

    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
    • Looking forward to Doja Cat letting us all know what is going on later on today. It is a good job that somebody is keeping us informed.
    • They've got a few gigs in Dec/Jan.  Hoping to pick up a couple of tickets for Margate later today
