£300 for me but then I don't drink massively. My friends take around £600 but then they drink like fish and always use the bars. We don't take any food with us and will probably buy a load of wood when there also.

Last year I took 500 quid with me and spent all of it by Sunday morning, the deal with me is I will spend however much I take. This year I am taking 300 as I don't get paid until 31st so that will have to do me this time around.

Last year me and the gf took £200 between us and that was enough to last us from Wed evening through to Sunday night.

We did take loads of booze and snacks with us though. Thinking of taking more cash and less stuff this year as we ended up making too many trips to the car.

I think the fact we stayed in the tent on Thursday night due to the rain meant we also spent less than expected. Hopefully this time we will make it to Baggy Mondays...

I'm taking 40 cans with me, plus spirit so the rest will be food mainly and the odd cold pint / cocktail / impulse buy.

I'm planning on eating like a king this year and having 3 maybe 4 meals a day.

I try and spend around £50 a day. Will be taking a load of booze with me, plus I live mostly and chips and curry sauce or the odd burger. If I am extra careful even have enough to buy a t-shirt for the merch stand.

I take around £300 for 2 of us but always wish I had a little more

We don't cook anything ourselves so between 2 roughly equates to

Breakfast £12 x 5 days = £60

Lunch £15 x 5 = £75

Dinner £16 x 5 days = £90

So that is £225 on food and then around £75 on drinks but I do tend to take all my own beer and just have the odd pint when I am out

Might think about finding some cheaper places to eat or taking my own stove this year though as £225 on food is steep but there is so much nice stuff there

I'm also going to take 50 a day plus 100. I will be buying food exclusively on site, and quite a few drinks as well, although I'm not planning to drink massively. I hope to bring back a chunk with me but I'm also the kind of guy who spends whatever's in his pocket, so I'm not taking what I can't afford to lose.

I always spend more than I calculate I need, until last year when I took £300 and was comfortably in.

If you do buy food on site most days, and buy a few rounds of drinks, it soon mounts up. Plus a memento or two.

My son lasts on almost nothing (Hari Khrisha free food tent, brings his own drinks mix, etc.) so people can survive on less than £50 if need be.

I am in the budget for 50 quid a day camp. I bring my own alcohol but if I fancy a cold one/cocktail/specialist places like cider bus/brothers I go for it. Food i buy all on site, normally two proper meals a day and maybe a snack if I fancy something I see.

Normally end up spending about 150ish of that over the 5 days without really thinking about sticking to it tbh!

done @ £4.50 a pint or whatever it is. I've usually got a bit left over for the over-priced

ice-creams in the car parks or the first petrol station stop on the way back :-)

this year we are taking £400 thats for both of us, working on having £25 each a day for food, and maybe one drink, as this year we are taking our own drinks including soft one's so we don't spent £2 a time on a bottle of coke. then we have some money for monday, inducing the food, the magazine when you walk out, and maybe some if we stop on the way home. this means there will be some extra maybe £100 for things that catch our eye, including, the hat (which one of us seem to get every year) and the top which my other half will save up all weekend for. and also to save some for the green fields and healing tents, and craft fields, because you will never know what you will find, in such a magical place.

Trying to do it on a bit of a budget this year with 1-2 meals a day. I'll take breakfast and lunch for a couple of days, but the food is a big part of it so I dont want to go entirely on cans. And I'll be taking my own booze so only the odd pint of ale out.

dont fancy lugging 2 litres of mixers so will use the supermarket for the coke

Always go for the £50 per day rule.

Case of beers bottle of spirits and box of wine.

Always eat out and use the bars during the days, but take a couple of cans and hip flask for the evenings. Always have cash left over.

This year is the first in the camper van, so should be cheaper. But it's my holiday and I will buy it if I want it.

I've been saving up and will take about £500 which is a bit extravagant I think but I do like to browse round al the wonderful stalls and buy myself something and of course I *have* to buy a t shirt it goes without saying.. Also I dont cook as I consider Glasto a holiday and there are so many different food stalls to sample. Will take a camping stove and tea making accoutrements for that lovely morning cup and to heat water to have a wash (in my new collapsable washing up bowl). As for alcohol I'm taking quite a bit this year, found cans of Bellinis in Asdal for a quid!! whereas on previous Glastos I've only bought from the bars.

This thread has made me even more excited. I can almost taste it! Hope the weather starts to improve

£250. I buy all my food on site, and this year I'll be buying most drinks on site too. A tshirt, the Sunday papers and a few bits and pieces from the markets, and I'll probably bring £50 back unless it's cold and I end up eating four meals a day for warmth and energy!

(And then there's the inevitable wallet-damaging trip to the local record shop afterwards to get the albums of all the random bands I saw... ouch)
