Thursday 3pm? Mildly inebriated, full of Goan Fish Curry, slathered in factor 50 yet somehow badly sunburned (replete with a big line across my head where my hat is - red face, white forehead), bimbling for victory, possibly considering a spot of light welding in the craft fields while looking forward to *insert name of popular but quite bland indie band of the moment* at the William's Green Opening Party followed by a disco of some sort.

Thursday night, 10:38... Watching someone Ive never heard of or in a queue to watch someone Ive never heard of just to see what they are like.

This is the dangerous couple of hours, if I decide to get hammered, Im not sleeping til saturday morning, cos catching any on friday is a no go really.....

It all depends on how good the tunes are wherever I am tonight.

I will be sitting in the porch area of my tent, wielding a hairbrush and attempting to make some sense of my hair, whilst also considering cracking open my first cider of the day.

There'll be that excited "Friday" buzz in the air, that feeling of anticipation because the music is about to start. Rumours will be spreading that ridiculously famous bands are opening the Other Stage at 11am.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
