Weds 6am train Macclesfield to Stoke. 7am see coach departure from Stoke station ( the only coach available near me, South Manchester, I could get in re-sale). Hopefully arr after the early crush c12 noon. Gate A no queue....he hopes..... Wander to south side somewhere and set up two tents, one for me mucker who arrives with beer batch no.2 on Thursday. Crack a cider, go for a wander, gather up courage and go to efests meet at 6pm :-) how good is that.

just found out i'll be getting a lift to the festival this year after thinking i was gonna get a coach, which is great, apart from me now fearing getting pulled over and searched by the police whilst i carry *ahem* illicit materials. any tips for getting around this? making your car look like it's not on the way to the festival is obviously one, but pretty hard to do with a shitload of rucksacks packed in to it

We will be leaving Nottingham at some point on Tuesday morning (depending on how long it takes my wife to pack!).

We are staying at a b&b between Glastonbury Town and Pilton - so will probably have dinner in town on the Tuesday night (after a walk up the Tor....) and then have an early night before leaving the b&b to get on site early on Wed morning.

Last year we had to queue in traffic and so we're later getting in the site. The advantage was we didn't have to queue when walking in!

For those of you who haven't done it yet, a walk up the Tor is great- we have done it the last three years and it really gets you in the Glastonbury mood. There are also a few pubs near the bottom and the atmosphere in those is normally great- just like Christmas Eve. But for adults!

Leaving Preston early wed morn, probably end up waiting for friends (newbies) to turn up.

Cus and swear profusely until they turn up, panicking we'll be stuck in B'ham rush hour.

Get off M5 hopefully around 10am, then, dependent on site traffic, sit and play I spy over walking talkies with our convoy group.

Park up, find a space, throw up tent and crack open cider slushies, install big grin for next 5 days.....

We are leaving Leeds about 10, on Monday, as we are staying at Brook House Campsite, near Glastonbury. Then getting up, packing up the trailer tent, and heading to the east camper van fields to set up again, get a drink opened, watch the footie on the iPad, and let the excitement reach stupid levels!! :-)

Having just checked, it looks like the riflemens pub (closest to the Tor) has closed. That is a real shame given it had a decent beer garden.

The last few years, with good weather, have meant a clear view from the Tor - with a clear view of the festival site. It is a decent hike up- but we'll worth it!!!

Travelling down to Warminster from Huddersfield on the Tuesday, meeting up with friends travelling from Norfolk and staying in a Travelodge. Get some beers, probably catch the England game and get an early night. Drive to the festival on Wednesday morning, not sure what time to aim for yet, gonna go the long way round and try and enter to get into West carparks due to bad stories about gate B compared to mostly good about A and D. A was easy last year when we came by coach, so try and aim to arrive at same time. Plus, it's closer to Oxlyers on that side, where we hope to camp.

Tootle down to Ilchester area on the Tuesday, stay overnight in a pub/hotel, wake up at a half decent time, have a full english breakfast and then drive the last 10/15 miles and start queuing

We will be leaving Essex on the Tuesday lunchtime, and doing the five hour road trip to Wells where we are staying in a cottage for the night... Watch England drop out of the World Cup, wash hair for the last time etc etc.

I am going by coach for the first time and I'm slightly worried. I don't have a passport or riving license so the only photo ID I have is my uni card, will this and a copy of my birth certificate and some letters be okay as proof of ID when handing tickets out?
