Chances of Chic?

Just wondered what the chances of Chic playing again this year were?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'd say there's naff all chance this year and unlikely to see them again in the near future and really not sure what slot they'd be given.

I would expect there would be next to no chance they would appear again in the near future, it seems the only times bands ever appear in consecutive years are when they play a fairly low slot one year and then find a bit of success that propels them right up the bill to a prestigious place in the line up (eg Mumfords). Or they are fairly low down the bill and just make up the numbers year after year (eg. John Otway, or Howard Marks, both well worth seeing by the way). The only other exception seem to be secret sets where a couple of band members might get together to play an impromptu set somewhere on the site. Unfortunately for you Chic won't fall into any of the above.

They are playing British summer time in Hyde Park on the 21st of June. So hopefully they might be at Glastonbury the following weekend.

Chic on West Holts was an absolute party. I persuaded my son and his mates to give Arctics a miss and join us. They had no idea that they knew most of the tunes and I am still being thanked. Everyone was, it would be fair to say, completely w****ered.

I think they could step up to a massive Pyramid set, but it seems unlikely.

new song's okay. just sounds like all of their other stuff really (which i guess is the point). would definitely be up for the getting a Pyramid slot - third or fourth down whilst the sun is still out would do nicely. was planning on seeing them in '13 but got so drunk that i got lost and ended up seeing Arctics instead (when actually i should've been planning on seeing Portishead all along - d'oh)
