Casual Jack White fan here - got a couple of White Stripes albums, his last solo album and a bit of stuff by Raconteurs, Dead Weather etc.

I think that setlist above gives us a fair idea that it will be 'greatest hits'.

Glastonbury will also be his shortest set of the summer by the looks of it, 15 minutes shorter than Governors' Ball and he has a 2h set at Bonnaroo. As much as I respect that its a Jack White gig, I selfishly hope he only plays a few from the solo albums - only seen him with Dead Weather before in 2010 and it would be great to hear Icky Thump, Hardest Button, Steady As She Goes etc. etc.

Does JW play any of his other bands material or just his own stuff?

He'll play a mix of stuff from his 12 albums and other projects. Possibly even a cover. It'll be solo stuff and stripes stuff heavy with 1 or 2 Raconteurs songs and maybe a Dead Weather song. He doesn't use set lists, so plays any song that the band may have rehearsed for the tour, last tour that was around 40 songs. Go on set list fm and search him and look at the gigs he has done so far this year, he tends to have a solid few from the new album and Blunderbuss, 7 Nation army and Dead Leaves are usually played and Top Yourself. Everything else is usually mixed up night to night. Edited by III

Icky Thump got played again and Hardest Button. Follow the link for the rest.

Lazaretto out tomorrow :)

Wow, that is how you do a setlist. The only one single thing I would change is to switch out Steady As She Goes for I Cut Like A Buffalo, other than that it's pretty much perfect.

Nah, switch The Rose with the Broken Neck for Blue Blood Blues.

Upon Googling the track to find out what it is (assumed it was a Lazaretto song), I agree that we could do without it.

If he is going to play a song from the Rome album then he should do Two against One. I love that song. He played it a lot last tour though so maybe that's why he is doing Thr Rose with the Broken Neck.

Is there something I'm missing/failing to do to kick it off?

I got it yesterday. Love it! The hologram took a bit of working out but I found if you shine a torch directly over the spindle you can see it. A little angel. All the other tricks are cool. Unfortunately I can't play at 78 so can't listen to the first hidden track. The second hid send track is creepy though. Love the crows calling on the infinite groove at the end.

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
    • It's certainly gone more that way, but then they went completely in the opposite direction and had Cat Stevens.
