Led Zep playing glasto would be earth shatteringly huge. I'm fairly sure it would get more people than the stones. This is a band with such mystique and aura about them it would compel the most casual of punters to go. The Stones is special, but glasto get Led Zep? Off the richter scale.

Its never going to happen though, and to the people who somehow think the led zep machine is going to go from unconscious to full on massive outside gigs mode in the space of a couple of months need a reality check

Led Zeppelin at Glasto would be astronomical!! I'm not saying it would be bigger than the Stones, because not much comes bigger than that, but it would definitely be on a par. Old men with guitars? Nobody questioned John Paul Jones a few years back when he was doing Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme. And Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists in the world without a doubt. As said before, due to the fact they have very rarely played together since John Bonham died, and after the demand for the 02 gigs, this would be the biggest thing to happen to Glasto.

Just can't see it happening though!!

Stones are the bigger band but the rarity factore would make Led Zeppelin a bigger deal than the Stones, I say.

It's like McCartney and Bowie. Sir Paul has made a bigger imprint on music but he's showing his face everywhere and playing Hey Jude at the opening of an envelope, while Bowie keeps his head down. Thus nobody talks about McCartney playing the secret Park Stage gigs. :P

I'm 19 and a lot of my friends are Led Zep fans, I personally never really listen to the stones but listen to led zep quite a lot. I think the crowd would surprise you, would have a lot of younger people too.

Yeah was gonna say, I'm 18 and the majority of my mates love Zeppelin. Even those that aren't in to Rock seem to appreciate them. Anywho; Seen as Zeppelin are so unlikely I'm hoping Page releases his solo album this year and does it tour for it this year!

I think Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and David Bowie would get the biggest crowds now. The wonders of not playing for long periods. Take note Kasabian. :P

I do think the LZ crowd would get a fair bit smaller after Stairway to Heaven is played mid-set.

LZ's name is still massive and are a legendry dare I say jaundre ( if I could spell it) defining name in music. The crowd they would get would be massive , anyone who thinks otherwise is just clueless of how big the name is or the band were.
