Counting Crows and First Aid Kit announced for Isle of Wight. Two acts who might tempt me to buy a T ticket if they book them, CC are one of the best live acts I've ever seen.

They bored the fuck out of me at TITP 2008

Could see Enter Shikari being announced for TITP as these are on the same weekend

They said in response to someone asking if they were at Reading this year they were exclusive to Download, not sure if that means English exclusive or UK.

When does v festival line up usually get announced?

If I mind right from last year it was about exactly the same as titp.

Start of March

Yeah this is probably what I'd go with as well, think The Vaccines are more likely than Alt-J, wouldn't be surprised if Alt-J didn't play at all.

I'd probably guess one headlining R1 and one subbing/3rd down on main stage.

Alt-J announced for festival in Poland the week before T, so looks like they're certainly active around then

Oh I know they're around, it's just a few people in the Glasto section were talking about how they prefer to play in the dark and headlining Radio 1's the only option if that's the case.

Ah I didn't know they prefer the dark. I feel they'd be a weak R1 headliner. But then again, Beady Eye.

Have to agree with that. I'd always had a liking for CC and was looking forward to seeing them in 08. Sadly it was a real disappointment and a really dull set. Maybe they had a bad bay.

How do you do that mate?

Can you do it on a iPhone??

Just a template I made up on photoshop based on the coachella lineup poster, caught a few folk out on social media with it last year with the amount that was knocked up on here, probably update it in that post from time to time

    • Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.   The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!
    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.
