It did last year so I'm just presuming it'll be the same this year.

Was wondering if anyone could tell me what it's like at T regarding getting out of the main stage crowd? if these supposed clashes are true, I want to see the Libertines but get to King Tuts for the Courteeners before Avicii comes on, I'm just worried if I get a half decent spot for the Libs it could be pretty hard to get out seeing as it's main stage, saturday night. Is it fairly easy to move about between acts? forgive me if this is a stupid question

I think you should put it down to the kind of crowd that Calvin Harris attracts.

I think you should put it down to the amount of drink that's been consumed by that point, the acts that's coming on and the fact you were in a prime spot. I've never had an issue getting out of the crowd people are usually nice enough to move to the side for you. Although if I'm leaving for another stage I position for a good view and a quick getaway

Festival n00b is n00b. It's all about compromise, if you wanna get to another stage sharpish then don't go right to the front! I used to factor in about 15-20 mins to get from good spot main to NME or vice versa. Extra for a pish and beer on the way. You learn the quick routes though, direct is seldom fastest as it's where the crowds are densest. All bets are off for the new venue, everyone will be learning the layout and how to get about.

Went with my friends to see Calvin Harris at T last year because literally all of them were going, and left 10 minutes in. Most boring thing I've ever had to stand through.

Much the same. Left after Will Smith walked off. Was a surreal moment.

Anyway, was just posting to say it's surprising TITP haven't snapped up Kendrick Lamar. Everyone here might not agree, but everyone could see this album was going to get huge praise, and he would have been a major coup to the festival in my opinion. Knowing the support he gets in Scotland it's crazy he isn't on the bill.

Haven't posted in a while, specifically on this thread, so thought I'd just put this up for anyone sceptical about going. The lineup isn't my cup of tea this year (so far), and after being to Rockness every year since it started, I went to T last year for the first time last year. Can safely say I loved it and I will be going from now on.

Not sure about Kanye, but Kendrick makes perfect sense for Summer Sessions.

One of the smallest Main Stage crowds I've ever seen. And the people who did turn up didn't seem too interested to be honest. To be fair to him, he was one of the first acts on the Friday and it was glorious sunshine.

He played both last time he played. But I guess he was supporting Eminem at a gig that was sold out long before he was announced.

Do you think the Transmissions tent might be back this year? As it seems like there's too many names for just the 3 main stages then some smaller acts being put in T Break like last year. Friday seems more full than last year as well so maybe a full day rather than a 2pm start?
