eastynh
Have V and Glasto ever shared a headliner before?? Shame if they tend not to, Coldplay would've been a brilliant booking for V 2015. Come on mate you have them at Glasto, lets not be greedy. benus80
Coldplay at Glastonbury again! They are becoming the festival houseband I thought v is bad getting the killers to play alot.
Rose-Colored Boy
The Verve did both (and T as well) in 2008 didn't they?Yep. A quick google search reveals Muse did Glasto and V in '04 as well. So not beyond the realms of possibility.
Rose-Colored Boy
Come on mate you have them at Glasto, lets not be greedy. Not on about my tastes hunnybun, I need V's headliners to be John Lennon and Madonna to be able to justify shelling out on V this year. But in terms of what V needs, they need to sell it out without much fuss this time around, and Coldplay would do exactly that,
daniel.k
Coldplay and Mumfords would comfortably have sold out I think, or at least sold best compared to other non-glasto festivals. Havent looked but im guessing Foo's are away somehwere, havent really seen them being mentioned at all so I guess they wont be in Europe on V weekend

Rose-Colored Boy
...and would probably have been booked for Reading yet again if they weren't anyway -.-
#FreeComTruise
...and would probably have been booked for Reading yet again if they weren't anyway -.- Probably not seeing as they're doing June fests and are probably at Glasto. Always thought they were more likely for R&L 2016

Shame if they tend not to, Coldplay would've been a brilliant booking for V 2015. It's happened quite regularly in the past. Travis 2000, manics 1999 as well as the others mentioned. CliffRichardsPissSack
One year in fact, Kings Of Leon sub headlined at V whilst headlining Glasto! Therefore for V > Glasto #infalliblelogic
Boris The Spider
I went to both festivals that year, The Verve & KoL both headlined Glasto, then a couple of months later they subbed The Verve At V.. it wad brill for me cause I love them both! benus80
So coldplay has played V once over 10 years ago and mumford has never played V. Them headlining I think it one of those things that is never going to happen in which I am gutted as I am a big fan of the two bands and have never seen them played live Edited February 4, 2015 by benus80
Rose-Colored Boy
Would stick a few quid on Mumfords doing V next album if not this one.

They both could do V, its just a case of if they would and if V want them enough
Matt42
Would stick a few quid on Mumfords doing V next album if not this one. Idk tbh, Mumford tend to tour shit loads one year then disappear for about two. They play the touring game very very well, doubt they'l be at V 2016
eastynh
Are people still thinking Noel and The Prodigy for V?
daniel.k
Are people still thinking Noel and The Prodigy for V? Neither are really out and out strong headliners, maybe both could co-headline with each other, and a more established headliner on the other night
eastynh
Neither are really out and out strong headliners, maybe both could co-headline with each other, and a more established headliner on the other night I mean for playing, not for headlining

daniel.k
But calvin Harris and Bruno Mars are? Ive wasnt saying they were, but Calvin and Bruno probably are closer as a pair of co-headliners for V, but I dont think either of them are out and out headliners either I mean for playing, not for headlining They could both play, decent bookings for V. Guess we will just see if they are there Edited February 8, 2015 by daniel.k
luckysalt
Calvin Harris and The Prodigy together co headlining surely makes more sense, with Prodigy on last.
Rose-Colored Boy
But calvin Harris and Bruno Mars are?I agree although Calvin and Bruno have at least headlined UK fests, not something Noel can be accused of doing yet Edited February 8, 2015 by Zac Quinn

If they can extend the licenses to be able to have both in the dark, yes. No point having dance acts outdoors whilst the sun's still up.
