First headliner confirmed for 2014. Rather than upsetting most posters in the lineup thread maybe it would be a good idea to talk about anything blink related in here. This will also mean that kaosmark can return to the lineup thread.

Personally love blink and enjoyed their 2010 headline set!! #BFFL

I personally am not a fan.

But this was NOT an unpopular booking, majority of the people i'm going with have purchased tickets tonight.

That's 8 people.

wow, so a really good measure of the entire population of the UK then? gonna be a sell out this year if your 8 people are anything to go by

Made up with this, they're my favourite band of all time. Sounds sad, but seeing them in 2010 was the best day of my life, considering how long I had waited to see them, and it was a blast. Saw them on their 2012 tour and they were even better. They're a massively popular band with people of my age (21) give or take a few years. They will sell a lot of tickets, and they have the hits and the crowd-pull to be a highlight of the festival.

Bring on August :D

I love Blink but I think this is a good idea to have this thread. Lets bring back kaosmark to the 2014 line up thread. The whole thing will fail if he is not there

You could well be the nicest person I have never met. The guy has stated that he will rip your insides out and leave a turd there and you are still a fan of his haha!! I do agree with you though we need his guidance

8 tickets down! Only 169992 left! Better snap them up quickly before they are all gone folks!

How did anyone know about the recommendation system! I know a few people that want to go so I could cut down on costs

I've edited the original setlist to include more 'new songs' which will be from their new album.

Decent enough choice, will have two new albums of songs to add to the setlist from when they last played.

I've said on here, I wasn't much of a fan than drunkenly singing along to What's My Age Again? but they really impressed me last year at the o2.

Wonder if they will end up doing the self titled in full? (If they got the longer set, they could do it + hits and new stuff)

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
