The Foos Not a Rumour?

i used to love Foo Fighters. still think their first three albums are pretty good (although haven't listened to them in years - might download them now actually) but they've been incredibly bog-standard for a long time now. could never really hate them though, and every once in a while i'll actually quite like a song of theirs (that Rope from their last album was good!)

Not discounting that some people might. I didn't. My partner and I went for the first time this year and were blown away by it. Since then we're now expecting, and selfishly but tactfully I used the Foo's rumour to bend her arm & release me for next year, bearing in mind if all goes well our new arrival will be just over a month old. Since which I bagged a ticket & any references to Glasto 2014 are now banned in our household to avoid an atmosphere.

I'm confused. Before the ticket sale the Foos were up there as one of the bookies favourites but now seem to be left off of the eFest rumours entirely. Kasbian, Oasis & Bowie were also favourites at the time and they're still on the list. I know rumour or no rumour, nothing's really ever a given, but not even being on the list is a tad gutting for myself, seeing as it's one of the main reasons I managed to get a green card for next year from the Mrs as she understands that Dave's my only man crush if I were to be that way inclined. They are also fecking amazing live.

Anyhoo... Can anyone shed any light on this? Or as i'm new to the forum & 2013 being my first ever Glasto, is it common for the headliners to be announced last minute?

Thanks in advance.

1 month old? Is this your first? My first was 3 months old this year and despite listening to Worthy FM all weekend, I'm really glad I didn't go.

Seriously, having a 1 month old baby is HARD, I couldn't have left my wife too deal with our on her own!

    • Rod Liddle has died. RIP.
    • Tickets on sale from 17th August but there is a special autobuy feature from 10th August- you log what you want to buy and then forget about it apparently.
    • Took my now 12 year old to old Trafford couple of years ago, for his 1st game. He fell asleep during the game, no replies needed. 😃   He is also a Wolves fan, my parenting skills are as good as Onana's goalkeeping skills.
    • A few snaps from Sunday, which was huge fun, plus Happy Mondays, Radio Free Alice, Fratellis and Pale Waves. We didn't stay for The Streets, as after 3-4 songs it felt so downbeat compared to the rest of the day, and i've got another hectic week at work incoming.
    • It was fine, just hectic! The youngsters were mostly very well-behaved. The weather was a real bonus, although surprisingly chilly evenings - I guess it's the altitude - and the area between sound and main stage was a massive dust bowl.
