Paul Smith just tweeted about their new album and lots of prep being done for next year. Reckon they'll play Glasto - they're great live and put on a great show on the Other Stage last time.

II love maxïmo park, One of my biggest mistakes ever was giving up a ticket to see them tour My Earthly Pleasures about7 years ago, wow it was magical,and remains one of my fave albums ever!

Finally got to see them last year, worth it! Wow!

I'd say they're about the size if park headliner now IMHO so it'd be interesting to see if they did play, where they'd play!

I haven't heard their new stuff but I've seen them on every tour.

Never seen them at Glasto but I will definitely be there if they play.

Great live band, defo a good addition. Saw them at Godiva free fest in Coventry in the summer and the rocked it. I'll have to check their new stuff out

They must be an exclusive somewhere - as no UK dates on the announced European tour. Maybe that is an unannounced Glasto date - but they must surely be playing in the UK - although the tour is February.

a couple of years back they played on the Thursday.I'd spent a few days telling everyone to see them but a combination of coming off a week of nightshifts and celebrating getting a good pitch by drinking whisky at 7 in the morning meant I missed them.they are a great live band though seen them a few times,they aren't going to win new people over though and wouldn't be a headliner anywhere maybe 2nd or 3rd on the other stage

love their first album, but they've had such a fall from grace since. don't even know where i'd place them - probably mid-Other

Their newer stuff is not so great, but they are still very very good live, and know to pull out all the older favourites.

think their sound was very much a thing of it's time. bands like them (and imo, Franz Ferdinand) sound so dated now. very much a mid-2000's thing

saw them live at Leeds fest one year though and they were very good. as long as they keep bashing out the classics they're a great festival band

They were sublime at Victorious Festival (Portsmouth) in August despite only having an hour, they played pretty much everything you'd want.

The National Anthem was a fantastic return to form, would love them back.
