Are they not? They're playing the arena here next month?

They've already started slipping down line-ups though. Considering who they've given the sub slots to this year I wouldn't be surprised if third is the best Elbow can get.

I think the chances are Elbow just won't play instead of taking a lower slot.

I'd have thought this year's shitty subs would make Elbow less likely to play below sub.

Not really- whilst Elbow are of similar size you can't really jump on the hype bandwagon with them like you can Jake Bugg and Macklemore, particularly with the younger audience they're obviously targeting.

Notts arena is the only arena they're doing on that tour. Next biggest is Ally Pally and then O2 Apollo in Manchester and the academy in Glasgow.

Same as Jake Bugg then. In fact, better than Jake Bugg because they've managed to sell the standing out at the arena :P

He sold out standing.

Mind you, they've taken lower slots this year.

Headlining set on big outdoor stages isn't the same as 50 minutes before Two Door on a big outdoor stage.

Yeah I get what you're saying but I can't see them having a band like Elbow below next year's flavour of the month act like Macklemore.

Makes you wonder why they were posting on their social media that it was sold out and only releasing small batches of seated tickets.

I guess the venue just didn't want to sell tickets lmoa

Okay well I know from both the venue and the press that standing didn't sell out.

If you have it in writing I don't know why you didn't just post it before this and the Black Keys debate. :P

Either way, I am absolutely certain that ticket sales mean more to us than they do to festival bookers. There are a lot of other factors at play so I don't think it's ever as easy going on SeeTickets and seeing if an act has tickets left. And despite the bucket loads of exceptions every time, it's still put forward as an argument.

But I thought only me and Kemsoabe liked them on here?

i thought this too... Ah well the more fans the better ;)

Are they any good live? I would have assumed so with the music they play but i assume someone on here will have seen them before.

Nope, I love a bit of Pendulum tbh. Saw them twice and they were excellent both times. :)

    • Having watched Linkin Park's Rock am Ring set I'd imagine they've used a different stage specifically for their light show, its insane
    • Blink, Slipknot and Maiden
    • Good luck! Have you also registered your interest on Twickets? https://partners.twickets.live/endoftheroad/ 🙂
    • Likelihood is it'll be on Sunrise and Alcove but theres potential for some more in the tent as there have been 8 acts on some days in recent years. Obelisk is likely full now unless they have a few shorter sets thrown in   Im surprised they haven't had some secret sets thrown into the mix this time round unless they do and we find some gaps in the schedule is released
