They've already started slipping down line-ups though. Considering who they've given the sub slots to this year I wouldn't be surprised if third is the best Elbow can get.

I think the chances are Elbow just won't play instead of taking a lower slot.

Not really- whilst Elbow are of similar size you can't really jump on the hype bandwagon with them like you can Jake Bugg and Macklemore, particularly with the younger audience they're obviously targeting.

Probably. I only chucked them in there because I still think they'll be going next summer & I couldn't think of anyone else.

If you have it in writing I don't know why you didn't just post it before this and the Black Keys debate.

Either way, I am absolutely certain that ticket sales mean more to us than they do to festival bookers. There are a lot of other factors at play so I don't think it's ever as easy going on SeeTickets and seeing if an act has tickets left. And despite the bucket loads of exceptions every time, it's still put forward as an argument.
