Pendulum

Rob Swire did a Q&A not long back and pretty much admitted that he doesn't really want Pendulum to get back together and if they did, they probably wouldn't tour as a band.

That was a sad day

EDIT: Quote from the man himself;

"It’s been nearly 5 years since the last Pendulum album – even if we do release new material, it will most likely sound completely different, just because…well, people change, and get bored of things, etc. I have no real desire to make drum’n’bass anymore, I have no desire to fuse it with rock, and I sure as fuck don’t have any desire to tour with a live band."

Again guys, literally just passing on what I've been told. I'm on the case trying to find out the exact details, whilst putting together a project schedule for work haha.

If it's not solid info or he's just got it off one of the fakes I'll let everyone know asap.

Cheers lightning, however if there's no Weezer now, I'll be sending a poo in the mail ;)

Maybe Royal Blood have been bumped down. Because Weezer.

Not doubting Lightning here, but are Weezer really big enough to be 3rd down? I wouldn't put them at the same size as, say, Deftones these days. As much as I like their first couple albums I feel like they've dropped off the radar a little too much to be in that position. But that might just be poor booking rather than unrealistic predictions.

They are THE most requested band outside of headliners. Their 2010 set where they played 3rd down is the thing of legend. They are a comfortable 3rd main.

Maybe to us forumgoers, but to Reading's main fanbase? I'm not so sure. It'd be a great booking just in terms of exclusivity and rarity, but I just don't see it.

Here here! That was one of the surprises of the festival for me that year. Were still very good the year after at Soni. No way they would drop down to 4th.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
