I really do think it could be Calvin Harris headlining. He did Isle of wight and TITP last year, so he can headline big festivals and hes in Europe the week before Reading and Leeds. Plus it would clear up the whole quote that the festival posted about it potentially being one person. And the way Reading is trying to be more 'diverse' with its music these days it wouldn't surprise me if it was him. What do you guys think?

They're getting The Libertines. Seems almost certain Calvin's playing V so even if he was on R+L's radar, he's not anymore.

They're quite strange in that they do have the punk element to fit in there, but don't really share a fan base with the other acts who play that stage. Obviously that wouldn't matter, because their fans are still able to go in the tent while they're playing.

Can anyone explain in a nutshell to me why everyone is so sure that the next headliner is Libertines? imo I think it would be quite a weak headliner, overrated to be honest.

Because the people who run the site have some solid info and are 99% sure they're headlining, plus Pete Doherty said they're playing in an interview plus its a booking that makes sense
