Gary Powell is sort of American. But for real, how did someone come up with a rumour the last headliner's American anyway?

website3.png?itok=axvTLN7CThe third wave of acts is nearly here, including our final headliner…

Reading & Leeds Festival will soon add the next wave of acts to its explosive August Bank Holiday line-up, adding everything from rock, to dance, to hip-hop to the programme. The third world-renowned headliner will also be announced, joining Mumford & Sons and Metallica at the top of the bill.

Join Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 from 7pm for the big announcement - and a world exclusive interview with our mystery headliner.

To give you a little hint, here’s a quote from our new headline act. The name behind the quote will be revealed this Tuesday, but start your guessing using the hashtag #RandL15.

The Reading/Leeds twitter tweeted a quote at 17:30 which was something about the headliner had just woken up, saw a lot of people saying that its a clue. Hoping for someone better than the last 2 headliners if im honest.

I'm sure it wasn't a live quote.

Yeah re-reading that article, world exclusive interview.. surely if it is libs it can't be an exclusive interview

Might be interviewing John.

As I said, the libertines have had a big interview with radio 1- probs about their new album etc, and bits of it were cut up for the T In the Park extract..

At one point he jumps from talking about Thailand to how much he's excited for T, it's heavily edited and the quotes probably from that.

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
