15-24 year olds is their target audience, with the aim of reducing the age of their average listener.

I thought their aim was reducing the intelligence of their average listener.

Why the indie kids never hopped onto arcade fire, il never know. Surprised they are still not a commonly known band.

I think people just like to still think they're not well known but they definitely are. 2 nights at Earls Court, Hyde Park and headlining Glasto - you'd have to not like music quite a bit to not have at least heard of them this past two months at least once.

It's a decent indicator though. Obviously I'm not saying that's representative of everyone's friends, but it's likely to be a fairly similar amount between most teenagers I guess.

Okay then. 3 of my friends on Facebook like The Rolling Stones and that's you, MattDavies and justanothername. And lots of my friends who saw them at Glasto last year clearly must not know them as they haven't liked them on Facebook. I don't think it's a good representation at all - I don't bother to like bands on Facebook anymore, except a few of the smaller, local acts. People just aren't bothered by things like that anymore
