T in the Park tend to have rockier bands when there's a rockier band headlining one of the nights. I'd guess Biffy Clyro will fit that description. Which would coincide with the idea that more rock bands will play next year.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I think there's a slight chance of Arcade Fire playing, but only if T can't get Arctic Monkes. Can't see them both headlining.

The only real recent example I can think of, Foo Fighters, had the likes of Weezer and MCR beneath them on main, and then some other acts spread across the bill.

We did indeed have three headliners and some other assorted acts announced at the start of December.

Arcade Fire would make me happy enough for three days. They could announce the next headliners as Seasick Steve and the local busker under the bridge if they got Arcade Fire and I'd be there with bells on.

Might be unpopular but I can see it.

I also can see Katy Perry playing, as I see her doing a sub slot at V, but I can just imagine her wanting a headline after roar being such a success.

Aye I would take that, I assume The Prodigy, Calvin and Paramore all being NME headers, cos I think Prodigy and Calvin would work a lot better in the dark

i'd say he'll most definitely headline.

sold out 2 nights in the hydro. fair enough with tiesto but i would say without him he would have still sold out one night and a good load of the second night

edit: and for anyone gonna say he's not done anything new since last time. he's had a sold out uk tour

On another note, Franz Ferdinand dates are not sold out, dunno if they were expected too but not even the Glasgow date is sold out. Do you think this will make an impact of where on the lineup they will be? I have a feeling it's a given they will be at T in some capacity as they're scottish with a new album and all.

Most of the shouts I have read on this are so predictable and mostly shite , T needs something amazing not just your run of mill year after year acts , does no one in here want more from T than just the usual scraps we get ???

It sounds crazy but I think people are predicting what they think will likely or realistically happen, not what they want to happen.

If T had its own forum again you would split this into two threads

Who you want and who you predict, after the last 2 years fare its hard to be optimistic and easy to be realistic about the line up!

I'd be happy with a 'safe' year to be honest, fair enough the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Biffy, and some extent KOL are being expected but after two 'difficult' years a weekend with the known and dependable could be whats needed
