Standing up for hours hurts my back. Kinda wish I had a chair to sit on in between!!! I wouldn't on principle but need to get fit before next one!!

Hayfever blew my mind this year. I'm a sufferer, but I have NEVER woken up with my eye swollen shut with some sort of crusty substance sealing my eyelids. Horrific. Needed eye drops routinely all weekend and even that didn't do the job a lot of the time. I watched Elvis Costello through one eye.

On the plus side I forgot quite how huge and awesome it is until I got there.

Actually, how all the phyicsal exhaustion, though very real. in the long run doesn't matter. I always worry about it before I get there, but when I'm there it doesn't matter so much.

That it takes a week to recover (at my age).. After a week of not getting to bed before 3am and getting back late on Monday evening, I had five hours of teaching today. Luckily it was the end of a course so it was portfolio hand in and an early finish and off to the pub to celebrate. Now running on empty/autopilot.

I get severe back muscle spasm and pain when walking for a few hours so spent every night in agony . Nothing helps . forgot how bad it was till the Wednesday night. Also lack of sleep because of idiots in the camp. All came flooding back very quickly.
