Breakfast: Best Places

This is my first year going on the coach and really looking forward to it. I've decided to go as light as possible which means ditching the cooking gear and food I usually take and will seek out good places to eat to get set up for the day ahead.

I remember a good Cafe somewhere in Green Fields that did a cracking organic breakfast but can't recall it's name? I'm well aware of the campsite breakfast and growlers but was thinking more up-market!!

If anyone can say where else is worth checking out it would be appreciated :stuff:

Last time I was there I found an awesome soul food place that done amazing american breakfasts. Proper French toast, bacon, scrambled egg, hash browns etc. amazing! All served at a sit down place that plays soul music 24/7. It was called mama something's kitchen, can't remember exactly!

Good thread. I'm fed up with Bacon roll and black coffee which I end up getting every day every year. Gonna make much more of a breakfast related effort this year.

Ive not been but the Goan Fish Company is meant to do an awesome Kedgeree. Anyone know where it is?

Cheers

Oh god I can't remember where it was! Annoying me as well cos I wanted to go back this year. It wasn't the green fields or anything, something's telling me it was maybe near the Caberet field but I could be making that up. 2010 was when I found it. Help anyone?

Another vote for Hurly Burly which is usually on the main track just near the circus field. They do a wicked veggie breakfast including home made veggie sausages, gorgeous scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes and home made soda bread. They also do muesli and fruit with yoghurt too. Plus tea/coffee in proper mugs and sit down chairs and tables. If you're lucky, they will also do a rendition for you - at Bestival all the staff stopped and did a dance to elbows one day like this. Fantastic!
